Old Mac is a farmer, which you meet first in pre-Searing Ascalon. His bull Bill is killed by the player as part of the A Mesmer's Burden quest due to it harassing townspeople. To compensate for this, players acquire a Devourer Egg for him, which he plans to raise as a new pet.
He appears again later in the The Breach as a Vanguard Member and one of the numerous refugees fleeing over the Northern Shiverpeaks into Kryta to escape the Charr. During the Hungry Devourer quest, he can be found just outside Beacon's Perch, accompanied by a pet Devourer, Joe - hatched from the egg given to him two years earlier.
