Notes[edit]
- This area is named after Turai Ossa, but the "Procession" might refer to the march of his army towards the Battle of Jahai or him leading settlers to the Crystal Desert. Geographically, the latter is more likely.
- Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 3.4% to the Elonian Cartographer title, the largest in Kourna.
- This zone has a small section (on the eastern edge) with a permanent fog: it will remain covered even after your character explores it.
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 195 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 163 to 219 foes.
- If triggered, Mirza's Last Stand greatly increases the number of foes in this area.
- Until the quest Troubled Lands is completed, vanquishing requires killing the Tormented Lands. They spawn in a fixed order and might make vanquishing confusing - refer to the map in on the quest page if you're having difficulty finding the last few mobs.
- Kill each Tormented Land once - another will spawn another nearby until the original ten are killed, at which point an Earthen Abomination spawns. Kill the Abomination and from this point on you can ignore these creatures. Two minutes later, the spawning process will begin again. The first 11 unique kills contribute to experience, leave drops, and count towards vanquishing; killing the re-spawned ones does not; the Earthen Abomination boss gives the morale boost only after first kill.
- Completing Troubled Lands raises the kill count, as it replaces the Tormented Lands (10) and Earthen Abomination (1) with groups totaling more than the aforementioned 11 elementals required to complete the quest.
Trivia[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on Ruined Procession. |
- The re-spawning Troubled Lands was once used as an exploit to farm Lightbringer points: Players would accept the Elemental Hunt and walk away from the computer, leaving their heroes and henchmen to do the killing. This exploit was removed from the game by replacing the Whispers Informant with a Wandering Priest until the quest is completed.
