Get back to revision!--Space Dementia 08:28, 19 May 2008 (UTC) Signature[edit]Hi Cloud Xan, can you change your signature to use the full name since there is already a user named Cloud and it will stop any confusion people if both of you comment on the same talk page, thanks. --Kakarot 21:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC) Didn't realise, thanks for pointing it out ^_^ Cloud Xan 14:28, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Some Thoughts[edit]Having looked around I've seen a lot of ideas for changes to skills, attributes, general game mechanics, etc. So I thought I'd my two cents. Scythes[edit]These are incredibly powerful weapons, being able to deal the highest amount of damage out of all other weapons (although this is slightly balanced by a low minimum damage), too a potential of three targets, excluding any skills you add into the equation. Now scythes in real life make great weapons, because once it is spinning no one knows where it's going next, including the user (pardon the Terry Pratchet quote). First off make the scythe hit every target in the adjecent area, including allies. This will reflect the real life situation better, and when it comes to using Scythes for PvP and stuff like that, it makes them a double edged sword, able to deal lots of damage, but also hit allies. Secondly keep the damage to the main target constant, but for all the other targets, divide the damage between them. Now easiest way is probably equally, or use the Scythe damage/Number of targets (so a scythe with 9-41 hitting 4 targets would deal 9-41 on one target and deal 2-10 damage [rounded to nearest whole]) Shadow Steps[edit]Again incredibly powerful, though an aftercast could be a good idea, I don't think it suits the image of a shadow step. I think a risk factor could be introduced, also a lot of professions use them at the moment. By linking it to the Assassins primary attribute this would solve that problem. So all shadow steps (except Ebon Escape, but that's a PvE only skill, and most problems with Shadow Steps are PvP related) have a chance to fail, and either deal damage or disable skills for a certain period of time.
I think this would work well, for ever rank of Critical Strikes (or whatever it be renamed to) you have a 5% greater chance for Shadow Steps to be sucessful. Then change the Shadow Step function to: 90% chance to fail. A failed Shadow Step causes XXX damage to the user. Or 90% chance to fail. A failed Shadow Step causes all the users skills to be disabled for X seconds Might make it more interesting, and less popular on non primary sins.
Ritualists[edit]I feel Ritualists get a short end of a stick. They can be immensly useful, great in support roles. But to be very honest, most of their elites aren't what I'd call brilliant. All professions have an odd awful elite, but Rits seem to have more than their fair share. Don't have any ideas for balancing at the moment, I'd love to see more choice of spirits, but that's just me. More to come! — Cloud Xan 17:17, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Purple FTW![edit]Am I right? :P — Cloud Xan 13:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC) Though I do like Paragon colours :P — Cloud Xan 19:27, 14 July 2008 (UTC) [edit]Changing the alliance nav template colors is not really allowed. The colors are chosen to identify it as a guild template. It is fine to use alternate colors on your user pages, but not on guild pages. -- Wyn 16:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC) Ahh okay, didn't realize, well it was a good experiment which I might just continue with — Cloud Xan 16:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC) Guild page policy change[edit]Hi Cloud! I just wanted to bring your attention to some changes that have recently been implemented in the Guild page policy. Guild userboxes now need to be contained in the Guild namespace, so the userboxes you have created for your guild should be moved, and those using them need to fix their links. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Thanks! -- Wyn 13:15, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Just a quick thanks[edit]The user templates are very nice, thank you for doing the loads of work involved. I'm using them as-is for now, one day when I have *a lot of free time*, I'll build my own. (I can never resist the urge to tinker with layout for long.) I did figure out how to use/modify a page header template, at least. :P Very much appreciated! Mllepandora 20:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Figuring it out was pretty easy, it's quite self-explanatory, and with so many working examples, how could I go wrong? :D And poking around your user page was even cooler when I discovered you're a fellow Final Fantasy fan. :D (7 was my first FF game, I've now played them all since...have my friends copy of Crisis Core for the PsP but haven't quite started it yet. Gonna be hard to keep up with the glut of Final Fantasy titles they are releasing...) Mllepandora 00:59, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

template category[edit]Hey there! I saw how many user templates you have in the category, and I'd like to ask you if you could maybe create an overview page (or maybe one overview page for each template type, like one for title bars, one for character etc.), put those into the category and remove it from the other templates. Or you can sort them into the subcategories of Category:User templates. This helps making the category clearer :) - Y0_ich_halt 17:22, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
How do you get the different subjects on your main page? Like "Characters", "Contributions" and "Templates". --XxGw2xX 17:32, 4 November 2008 (UTC)XxGw2xX Kind of a Big Deal title bar template[edit]Hey there Cloud, earlier today Wyn remade my user and character pages, with the character pages using your format. I noticed that for the Kind of a Big Deal bar that it doesn't reset the length upon ranks therefore causing it to go out of the box and extend the page. Just thought thought I'd let you know. -- KonigDesTodes 07:50, 13 December 2008 (UTC) Character[edit]Hello cloud, im new to this, and i dont really know how is it that i do a character template, got ahold of te userbox mystery (I LOVE USEBOXES (got some from ya)) and well, if oyu could explain to me how to do the template... The user template =Home-Characters-Talk etc... and when i click characters the character template If you coujld please explain, ill give ya credit (be sure of that) when i finish ^^ Thank you VERY much ^^
Template:Armor art comparison cell[edit]I have merged back the color span that you have in User:Cloud Xan/Templates/Armor comparison cell into the original template, so you probably don't need your own armor cell and User:Cloud Xan/Templates/Armour anymore. Just FYI. -- ab.er.rant 03:42, 5 February 2009 (UTC) Happy Birthday![edit]-- |Cyan LightLive!| 16:06, 22 September 2009 (UTC) -- J.P.Talk 16:08, 22 September 2009 (UTC) Updating the miniature template[edit]Going through and adding the year 4 and 5 birthday ones as well as the miscellaneous others. Is it bad etiquette to edit your template with this? IE, should I create my own even though I didn't create the code at all, just added the other minis?
Finished up and tested the changes...in the interest of just getting my own character page to work (lol) I AM going to edit your template. All minis to date should be in there. I do have the code saved so if you're not okay with that (looks like you're not around frequently anymore) revert and drop me a note please so I can figure out how to make/list my own template. --Ruse 03:24, 19 September 2010 (UTC) Template[edit]Could I use your character template (Perhaps modified one?) on my character page when I have the patience and when I can be bothered to document it? I don't like the one that I had one my original character pages, (And NCSoft aren't responding to my question, wonder how many times that happened.) so having your much better one would be a great relief. |Killer demon 22:44, 3 August 2011 (UTC) |
