Rangers are unique in their ability to succeed with the help of, or even in spite of, their environment. Nature rituals allow them to manipulate the environment to hinder their enemies, or borrow the very power of creation to heal and aid their allies. They favor long-range combat, the bow being their weapon of choice, and can be especially effective from elevated locations such as bridges and cliffs. They are the only profession with the ability to charm animals, which then accompany them on their travels and assist them in battle, gaining experience and levels over time. Rangers are also blessed with survival skills that help keep them alive by causing regeneration of health.
An agile and wily survivor, the Ranger specializes in archery, beast mastery, and attunement to nature.
— in-game description
My name is Diva Ceryn and I am a Ranger/Ritualist level 20 to many times over to count, lol. I am the Leader of the Guild Avalons Wraiths [AW] and also the leader of our great Alliance, we are a Luxon guild. Our Guild Hall is located on the Isle of Meditation near the Temple of Balthazar and the Zaishen Menagerie. It is a beautiful and peaceful small island with a near fully equipped Hall, waterfalls, surrounding islands and outstanding views for screen captures.
We Play almost daily with an average of about 25 hours per week. We completed Factions today, 6/17/2009, and defeated Shiro and completed EOTN 7/17/09.
I love for my guild to participate in all the special Guild Wars events such as the recent Birthday celebration and Canthan New Year. Our Guild plans on participating in all events together as a guild, the next one being The Dragon Festival, and as with a few other guilds, we will do high level farming to obtain blue, gold and purple weapons and other items to pass out to lower level players for free at the events. This will hopefully make our guild better known so players will recoginize us in the game, not to mention build allies and alliance's.
We try to seek out the Traveler for his gifts each week which is fun and you never know what your going to get. We also do Treasure hunting to obtain gold for the Guild to do upgrades or additions to the Hall.
We as a Kurzick Guild and Alliance, held House Zu Heltzer and Altrumm Ruins for 2 years. We know hold the #5 Luxon town Bai Paasu Reach.
I believe in helping new or lower level players with Missions and Quests whenever we can. If they need a better weapon or help with getting their build right I, and my Guild members, are always willing to help even if it's just for information that they need.
We are now recruiting new members and Officers for our Guild. As it says on my Guild page the first 10 recruits we get will be made Officers of the Guild. It doesn't matter what level you are, how much experience you have or what your profession is. If you need help leveling, weapon upgrades or whatever it is you might need to improve your character and gaming experience we are willing to help with all of that.
We do alot of everything PvE, PvP, Dungeons, VQ's and MQSC, all are fun to do. If you would like to know more or have any questions about the game, want to join our Guild or your Guild would like to become an alliance with us, leave a message on either my discussion/talk page or our Guild Hall's page and we will get back to you ASAP. You can add us to your friends list in the game and talk to us there too.

The following is a list of titles I currently have and some of the accomplishments I've made playing the game. This will be updated weekly as we achieve more in the game. My Guild plays all 4 campaigns, Prophecies, EOTN, Nightfall and Factions. We are almost completely through Nightfall. We beat Factions on 6/17/2009 and defeated Shiro, completed EOTN 7/17/09, Completed Prophecies 7/31/09. We do Fort Aspenwood daily to earn more Faction Points for our Guild and Alliance's.
After we complete them all we will be going back through in HM. We regularly help lower level players with Missions and Quests and if needed offer advice on their builds and give them better weapons or upgrades for the one they have.
We are also working on obtaining Elite Armor for our characters now along with upgrading our Heroes armor also. Most of us have all tapestries in the Hall of Monuments and 4 completely finished monuments in the Hall. The following is my current list of titles and weapons I use.

Myself and other Guild members love having pets to work with. Not only is it fun tracking them down to tame, but it also gives you the opportunity to use your training in flagging and controling your heroes. Pets are a good way to deal damage but to also distract the damage from yourself that is dealt by attacking foes. All my pets are lvl 20, some are lvl 20 several times over.
We have Gwen and are working on the title tracks and things you need to do to capture the Rainbow Phoenix in the Hall of Monuments. I am working towards obtaining all the pets that are available to capture and charm. All of my pets and other members of my Guild have all the pets registered in the Zaishen Menagerie. That way if we want to work with a different one, our need a specific one that we think would do better in a Mission or Quest, we can go there and get it.
The addition of the Menagerie was a wonderful idea. That way you can actually keep your pets without actually losing them by giving them to a Tamer. The following is a list of my pets that I have captured and charmed.
- Bears: Polar Bear, Jingle Bear, Black Bear
- Cats: White Tiger, Tiger, Lynx, Melandru's Stalker, Lion, Lioness
- Wolves: Snow Wolf, White Wolf, Black Wolf
- Reptiles: Crocodile, Dune Lizard, Iguana
- Birds: Phoenix, Black Moa, Moa, White Moa, Mountain Eagle, Crane, Flamingo
- Exotic's Jingle Moa, Black Widow, Moss Spider
- Others: Hyena, Warthog, Reef Lurker
I love being a Ranger . Not only can you use your ranger skills in battle, but you have a dedicated pet backing you up with it's skills. Rangers Rule! --Jenn
I, as well as the other members of the Guild, have obtained almost all of the available heroes. They are all now level 20's. We have learned how to control and flag them when we need to. Most all have weapon upgrades along with skill, energy and health increase's from using runes and insignias we have either salvaged or purchased. All of our Heroes have at least 2 Elite Skills we have captured for them. Amazingly, I and 1st Officer Dohrin Rhine R/W have obtained the titles we have, not to metion how far we've gotten in the game, with using just our heroes.
When someone is in need of help with a Mission or Quest then we will use less heroes so that person can be added to our party so we can help them. The following is a list of Heroes we've obtained. We have maybe 4 left to get to complete the hero collection.
I think working with heroes is great. If you know how to control them they can be very effective. Maybe we will run into each other in the game and work together on a Mission or Quest.
Have fun! And happy gaming. Diva Ceryn /, Guild Leader--Jenn
