Blood Count
Your old names contributions — Seru Talk 01:32, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hehe thanks, wow my white blood cells are low! xD -- WoB 01:33, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Some random dude and the argument made by my friend, Wolf.
is not NPA. NPA was created so as to make discussions and arguments flow instead of come to a standstill. 75.182.89.73 04:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Its not a NPA its not directed at someone, its just formed in a heated manner. Dominator Matrix 04:29, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ah ok, I wasn't too sure as to post it or not. Sorry Mr. Ip but just so you know...it is good to register since you're a contributer of the wiki. -- WoB
- Don't try to get me to register. I contribute anonymously for a reason, and I'm not going to let people try to tell me in their ignorance that my edits are less important because they have an IP address attached. The entire point of a wiki is that everyone can edit it without logging in; I already see enough crap on Wikipedia - the place where that whole thing started - about IP editors being treated like garbage, and as there's no need for it there, there's no need for it here either. 75.182.89.73 04:34, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Umm... that's not what I meant but w/e.-- WoB 04:35, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) His contributions hold the same weight as any other registered user. Just because you contribute, doesn't mean you have to register at all; kind of the whole point behind a wiki. Just FYI. :) Kokuou 04:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'd say his word sare garbage regardless of registered or not. From what I've seen of you, you have nothing positive to contribute. — Wolf 04:39, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

- Son, you want some respect around here, and the benifit of the doubt, you have to earn it, and so far, you've made NO progress. — Wolf 04:46, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Don't be bad. 75.182.89.73 04:45, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't really give a damn what kind of respect I get, nor whether I get the benefit of the doubt. I care about being right, and for that, I don't need you or anyone else to drag me down.
- Don't try to patronize me unless you at least know the issue at hand, boy. Either way, it won't work.
- 75.182.89.73 04:48, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

X-Fire
You should download it and add me: greatdarkwolf. Suprised? You shouldn;t be. If anyone else wants to catch me on x-fire, feel free. — Wolf 23:32, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sure thing. -- WoB 23:33, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- You should also set it to auto log-in on start-up so you dont forget to log in XD Tools/options then under startup, halfway down. Unless you don't want to of course.... — Wolf 03:42, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Haha, still I believe Window's XP is alot safer for certain files -- WoB 04:56, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Vista eats ram in a good way. Unused ram is wasted ram. So it stores frequently used applications in memory for faster use. So its a good kind of hog...I guess. Vista>XP when you get a NEW computer. Dominator Matrix 06:57, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- I heard it's best to have a computer with XP first because Vista will leave some of that system memory...like favorites and internet options. Is that true? -- WoB 13:27, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
If your reading this, you should jump back on x-fire for a min. — Wolf 06:25, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Anyone want to help us?
- It might not last and it might last, you never know! -- WoB 00:56, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- It might be better to look at the Images needed and Images to update projects. I know the Images needed project has HUGE lists of images that are needed. I'm not trying to dismiss your idea, I'm just saying there isn't so much a need for yet another image project as a need to complete those already established. -- Wyn 01:04, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- I see what you mean. Well at least the project didn't start yet =D. -- WoB 03:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have an idea...why not merge them into one unified project? Sort of like the German Translation force...should be the international translation force.....german isn't the only language around here. -- WoB 04:07, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Because they were established separately by different people. I think their goals are similar, but not the same. -- Wyn 04:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

- No im pretty sure you asked Wyn so its fine and she loves handing out her standard template :D — Seru Talk 02:48, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- I think the sense of ownership here really needs to chill... for one thing, this is all GFDL, while credits are a nicety, they aren't required on page design. Look at it this way Seru, imitation is the highest form of flattery there is. -- Wyn 02:58, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's still weird to look at someones page and see your name a credit, but not know they used it. Its not really about ownership as much as who originally came up with the idea. is that the same thing? — Seru Talk 03:17, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, by all means I should've asked you first, Seru. I'll make sure I won't steal stuff anymore lol. -- WoB 03:34, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Sig
I don't mean to be "Mrs. Meanie Head" (like Wyn, hehe) but I just wanted to tell you that there is a bit of a problem with you sig. Your sig says "WoB" but your username is Wings of Blood, and in order to be correct with policy; you need to either A) Get your sig to say Wings of Blood instead of "WoB" or B) Register the account "WoB" and redirect the userpage and talk page to your user and talk page. Thanks! --Shadowphoenix 02:59, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Poor bastard has had a lot of people gang up on him about every damn thing recently. I'm still pissed people wouldn't let him use the simple blood drop.- Vanguard 03:03, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well I am not trying to gang up on him, I know how that feels and I would never do that. I am just trying to give him a friendly message so that he knows that there is a problem and doesn't get in trouble :) --Shadowphoenix 03:05, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- I know you're being friendly. Doesn't mean you're not part of the onslaught Blood's been getting. Scroll up. Look at the recent archive.- Vanguard 03:15, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Here I have to disagree. There is nothing in the policy that says your actual username has to be present. Just that you can't impersonate another user, and that it has to link to your userpage. Please read the policy over before you start asking people to make changes. -- Wyn 03:26, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- As I recall, he doesn't HAVE to do that, but it is recommended. That way you dont have someone come in later and make the account named WoB and rly skrew things up. I think Wyn will recall we went through a similar issue with my sig. — Wolf 03:32, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah i recall nothing wrong with shortening the name to WoB its fine — Seru Talk 03:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict x2) I apologize Blood, apparently somethings have changed since I got my butt chewed about having my sig link to Shadow (an inactive user with 0 edits). My apologies ^^ --Shadowphoenix 03:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Lol np SP. I do like it when people point out certain holes in policy I managed to slip through, please keep an eye on me =D. -- WoB 03:38, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Until User:WoB exists and starts to contrib, and its not an account made by Blood, he is fine. Every time I see WoB I think of Word of Blake XD — Wolf 03:40, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) @Vanguard, I think the blood drop was cool, and had no problem with that, it may have been the specific image he used, had he used the icon for sacrifice it would have been just fine. -- Wyn 03:42, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I might have to copywrite my name! muhaha, should I make a rederect from WoB to me? WoB are just the intitals because Wings of Blood was too long for a siggy =]. -- WoB 03:43, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- WoB should redirct to Wings of Blood, which is not too long for a sig imo. — Wolf 03:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Vanguard, "letting" someone use a copyright violation isn't an option for any of us; we don't decide on our copyright rules. --195.195.129.3 07:40, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Amound, is that you? Everyone please try not violating NPA, I see a argument unfolding. -- WoB 13:31, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ahh ok. Well I think I should break down this section to another one since it went off topic. -- WoB 01:13, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Tagging guild pages
Please be more careful when tagging guild pages for cleanup. -- Wyn 05:14, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- sorry about that, should I wait a week before tagging guilds like that? -- WoB 05:16, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- No, but you need to make sure they actually need to be tagged. all they have to have is the {{guild}}, {{guild infobox}} and one contact, whether it's guild leader, website, forum, or member IGN. -- Wyn 05:19, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

New skin
If you can just find where it defines alinks and vlinks and modify the code a bit there, it should fix that problem. Dunno about bolding the watchlist, though. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 12:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Done and done. =D -- WoB 01:33, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm. Perhaps a workaround solution to the watchlist would be to make the alink for the watchlist only a really annoying color that would stand out as much as the bold would? -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 01:46, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've been trying to fix that, it goes as the new text color that is #444444 "darkgray". Once I figure out more about the coding I'll make it a darkred for easy standout. -- WoB 01:48, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok all is fixed, make sure on your talk page "if you ever edit/ make a header" to make the background color "none", with this "color" people using the normal theme will see it normaly and you will see it using the theme. . . the colors and all. -- WoB 03:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

I am waiting for final release before installing 8.10, so i cant tell if your problem is specific to 8.10. If you just have installed 8.10, maybe you didnt got the right driver installed. Check if other OpenGL software work in accelerated mode. Then try "Emulate a virtual desktop" in the winecfg's graphics tab. Do the GW window show up in the emulated desktop? Also, window positioning and size are stored in the Gw.dat file, try to rename it and start gw again. Gw will create a new dat file. If, after downloading the base files, the window show up correctly, you will have to download every things again. I have not find a way to reset the config will preserving the downloaded content. Hope that help. --Bob 12:28, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Isn't beta the final release? I got GW to work with corss fire by shrinking the window and making it fit my desktop with the taskbar on top. Thanks for the reply. =] -- WoB 22:32, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
