Whoru

Whoru is a contraction of "Who are you", it can be used either as a question (Whoru?) or as a noun to refer to someone. When used as a noun it implies that the person is not noteworthy, that no one knows who they are or has ever heard of them and is often used to marginalize people and their opinions, especially in communities where they are not well known.

When used as a question the asker is implying that the asked person is in fact a whoru and no one has heard of them. It's often used as a challenge, suggesting that someone does not have the authority to be commenting upon something. For example if champ range GvG players were discussing balance issues on a forum and a new member of the forum added some suggestions that the original thread contributors did not agree with, rather than rebutting points made a simple "Whoru?" might be given in response.

Of course, this is an obvious usage of debate hierarchy 0 behavior, better known as an "ad hominem" attack, that focuses on qualities of the person making the argument, rather than the argument itself. It can generally be asserted, however, that any reply that merits a "whoru" is usually the result of a breach of common sense, inexperience, trolling, or blatant idiocy, rather than a difference of opinion, and is more of an expression of disgust than an attempt at legitimate argument.
