The Ancient Coffer appears in the Vehjin Mines while the Coffer of Joko quest is active. It is 'opened' by Assistant Jenahn, causing a Scythe of Chaos to appear. Once hostiles in the area are eliminated and the next stage of the quest updates, the Ancient Coffer will give the player the Scriptures of Abaddon.

Bug.If you have Master of Whispers in your party, the Ancient Coffer will appear in Vehjin Mines whether or not the Coffer of Joko quest is active.
