The Anniversary Monk (アニバーサリー モンク in Japanese) was a NPC that distributed the Japan 1st Anniversary Shield for free between January 27, 2007 and February 6, 2007 for the 1st anniversary of the Guild Wars Japanese servers, to all players who had an original Japanese account of the game and only in the Japanese district (international accounts were excluded).
It was placed in Ascalon, Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Island, Kamadan and Great Temple of Balthazar.
