The Official Guild Uniform (Discussion)
I think that you should be able to take your armor to a Guild Hall armor Customizer, and have your guild's symbol engraved on your armor. Maybe even your weapon but there would be some skin issues with that.
In fact, this could happen automatically when someone joins a guild. There's a little section of each piece of armor that has the guild emblem shown on it, maybe even with the guild colors. So if my guild's cape is Red and White with a sword, I'll have a little square patch on my armor's pieces that bears my symbol. Just like the cape, I could toggle whether to show it in towns/explorables. For simplicity, the symbol doesn't have to appear on leg and foot pieces, but chest and arm pieces would show it.
- Why this is a good idea
- Yet another way to look unique.
- Would make any suit of armor feel more like a uniform while in a guild.
- Why it may not work out
- Depending how many armor arts you make, finding a way to map the 'patches' to them could prove very tedious.
- Many people will not want to use it if their guild colors "clash" with their armor color, but if you made it so that just the emblem shows, or even better, is affected by the dye already on the armor, I think you could work around this.
