I always have problems getting people to join my guild. Its too small, or the people arn't active enough. My idea is to make people have to stay at least a week before leaving a guild. This would make people who constintly leave, join, and leave again stay commited if only for a little while.
- Why this is a good idea
- This would help me when I recruit for my guild.
- People would consider their guild membership more seriously other than joining just to ask for something free from everyone and then leave when they don't get it.
- This idea can make guilds a better thing, if someone wants to join a guild he needs to think before he just leaves, and a week is just the best amount of time to get to know all the members and know what you like and what you don't like about the guild.
- The look you get of the guild before you are in it for a week, is probably wrong, and if a guild is created for the fun, therefore there are a few lvl 10 members (OH NO! GREAT SIN! NO-1 CAN B LVL 10 @ THIS WORLD!!!!!! don't get me wrong, I'm sarcastic XD), doesn't mean these people are no fun, and that this guild isn't good!
- Why it may not work out
- This would not be a problem if the specific requirement for a guild is implemented and enforced. Meaning that in order to make a guild, for example, you need to have at least 20 members and at least a decent amount of money. This reduced the amount of 'average joe' guilds. Just seeing all those guilds out there makes it look like any crappy guild can exist. No offense. Guilds should be 'elite' and something better than average.
- People join to experience how the guild is, if they don't like it they want to leave. This idea won't make them stay and will only frustrate them, just to have the illusion of a bigger guild. Just pointless.
- If people leave after a day, be glad to get rid of them. If everyone leaves after a day, likely the guild leader isnt what they expect from him. This idea is useless since you'll just have to wait 6 days more before youre rid of those bad apples.
- It would be better if there was no 100 gold to pay to get them in the guild so that nothing is wasted and there for no need for a forced membership
- It's tough on the joiner. It's awful to join a guild and discover that you just don't fit in. You don't like the racism/swearing/maturity level, whatever. If this idea were implemented, you would be stuck for a long time (a week is a long time in GW) with people you don't like. How does that make for fun gaming?
- No one can be FORCED to do anything they don't want to, in the game I mean.
