Viewing Allies Roster
Currently one can only view the online roster of its own guild members.
My Suggestion:
Adding a "Roster" button next to or below the allie guild name in the "Alliance" tab allowing you to view who is online in that allie guild also allowing you to send a private message.
Why this is a good idea:
- This would free up your friends list slots for people you meet in game and wish to keep in contact with and see if they are online. Currently if you wish to see if a member from one of your allie guilds is online you must place them on your friends list which cuts into the limited amount of people you can add to the list.
- From an alliance-organization point of view, it would be very useful to be able to see how active a guild is, what time of day most people are playing, how many people are online in the aliance right now.
- If a member from another guild is misbehaving, an alliance roster would let you check if there is an officer from that guild online whom you can PM.
- One purpose that the guild roster serves, that an alliance roster would also serve, is actually keeping track of who's who when they change their character names. At the moment, when I play with someone from my alliance, I often don't know if I've played with them before under a different name.
Why it may not work out:
I see no reason for this not to work. When a guild leaves an alliance or is booted from an alliance their roster also goes.
