Quivers for Rangers (Discussion)
Almost every other profession gets the opportunity to use an off hand item, why not give rangers the option for one? This could be used like a focus item but equipped on the ranger's back.
- Why this is a good idea
- Rangers do not currently use quivers, as their arrows come from mid air.
- Bonuses such as IAS, increased energy, increased health, quicker recharge time for skills, and even things like chances for double arrows shot, and even possible offer an increased attack rate because of the easiness to retrieve an arrow from the specific quiver.
- could be placed as an offhand but coded so only quivers could be used.
- Why it may not work out
- If it becomes a focus item, then players may be able to equip any focus item as a ranger with a bow... but then how would they shoot?
- Rangers were originally designed to have 2 handed weapons to balance play. Adding a focus or quiver would force balancing in another way.
- what could be nice is
- just put a quiver on each ranger armor and not let it have any bonuses just so the ranger class can take arrows out of the quiver.
