Racial-based starting Towns (Discussion)
Characters of different races should start in different regions (i.e. If one player chooses to play on a human character, they will begin to play the game in Kryta, the human territory).
Starting towns should require a permit for other races to have access to it. Later on in the game, however, the character will be able to enter towns in territories of other races (depending on his or her titles, i.e. "Friend of Humans")
Also, in racial-based towns, there should be elite armor of the race who owns the territory (i.e. Human-Type Elite Armor), though races cannot buy their own type armor.
- Why this is a good idea
- Players will enjoy having multi-racial accounts to uncover Tyria's different regions.
- Less overcrowding in beginning towns.
- Elite Racial-armor will become a goal for players.
- Have more factions to fight against each other. IE
- Why it may not work out
- frends of different races will not be able to help each other until later in the game
- Players will QQ and wants to be able to start from Kryta with xx Races. I know I would because why should there be a different?
- This will Limit the story line.
- No one to team up with in the beginners town if the race is not a popular choice.
- Logically, all races should be available in all regions, except if the races are not friends.
- It would make the game too much like WoW
