Ritualist/Ranger/Necro Hybrid (Discussion)
Thinking about Ritualists, I felt that the Ritualist's spirits were their strength and what made them most unique from other current professions. I believe that allowing mobile spirits that would follow the Ritualist around similar to Ranger pets would be very entertaining and add a lot more variety to the Ritualist branch.
The Smoke Phantoms from Tyria, for example, could be very similar to what Ritualist pets would be like; or the Portal Wraiths in Elona. Maybe even something similar in appearance to a Mursaat. Anywho, this could either be an addition to the current Ritualist profession (if it is added to GW2) or a whole new profession line all together.
- Why this is a good idea
- Just an interesting suggestion I thought, adds some variety and an entertaining aspect to current Ritualists or future professions.
- Spell-casting pets would be highly entertaining in addition to the lions, flamingos, etc. that the rangers have. Rather than tooth and claw, we could also have lightning strikes and fireballs! :D
- Why it may not work out
- Variety of pet classes may render tedious and redundant. (However, this could be a sub-branch of their abilities, kind of like Restoration, Communing, Channeling, etc.)
- Necromancers are based on death, rangers on nature, it is not something you mix easy.
