A city in the air... (Discussion)
Well how about a city in the air?? You can teleport by talking to a guy who gives u a ride on one of his flying Things. It will look even more cool if it was over clouds
- Why this is a good idea
- Make the game more Fantasy and people love Fantasy
- Personally i think that sky diving out of a city suspended thousands of feet up in the air
- Vabbi, the Realm of Torment and the Tarnished Coast already have floating structures.
- Some ideas from early Factions development (before a series of floating islands were replaced with the Jade Sea) could be adapted for this area.
- In the loading screen for The Tarnished Coast, it shows floating islands.
- Why it may not work out
- A floating city isn't exactly an original thought and you can bet your ass the devs have already thought of it and made a decision. Also, would require crafting a different perspective of the game world, which would about double the time required to create areas.

Floating Continent
Players have already experienced the "continent" and the "underground dungeons". Why not create a new level, a new floating world. There is the return of the dragon in GW2, right? Having a flying world, will give a more fantastic look when you look at the sky. Being a new type of world, it can be imagined to look in many different ways: ancient (old ruins and castles), modern (skyscrapers, flying cars, technology), hypnotic (spirits, ghosts) How will it be integrated in the story? Well, many things can happen in 200+ years from the GW1 time line.

- it will add a new look to the GW world
- new players will always look to the sky and imagine how will it be there (because getting there will be possible later in the story)
Why it may not work out
- Anet does not have the time to create it, if it has not been in the schedule
