Universal trade would be an excellent idea so you could easily sell unwanted items.
There should be a area at the most used town where you can buy and trade goods. Exp( I have a max fire staff i want to sell but i don't want to sell it to a merchant because he will give me about $235 gold of it. So i got to the Universal trader and put my items up. there would be 3 choses i could choose either i could choose the normal price of $235gold, I could choose my own price 4k or i could look at some of the recently sold Fire staves (Same as the one I'm selling)and choose one of those prices. and when it was sold (After i accepted the trade) I could go and pick up my gold but at anytime from anywhere i could cancel the trade. but on the flip side i could do the opposite and buy something. i could type in what i wanted and it would bring them up. Click on them and see the stats and price/item to trade it for and buy it or you could choose to look at materials,weapons(also character specific items) and other items as well.If you wanted to try to change the price you could post them a message and when they came back it would tell them that you were interested in there item but you thought they had the price a little to high and see if they lower it.

- You would have to spend days looking for an item
- A very easy way to sell unwanted items
- Would eliminating endless spamming in large outposts from traders
- Why it may not work out
- might be a little complex for some players
