  • Issue
-1)- With all the Elite buffs & changes, this could use an update. Much of the rit (namely spirits) issues folks have can easily be mitigated with stategically buffed or altered elite rit skills.
-2)- AwS is most frequently run with Channeling and Restoration... both of which could benefit from reduced casting to...
-A)- Help Restorers keep up with Healers and provide better support when they need it -now- instead of speading 5+ seconds to prep-up (otherwise known as Performing A Routined Series of Ritauls in ritualist tongue).
-B)- Allow more responsive Channelers a legitamate offensive answer incomparison to fellow attack profession and a way out of cliche Ancestors Rage/Splinter's Weapon.
-3)- After using this skill for 2+ years now, I am still annoyed that it costs both an Elite slot and the ability to hold weapons; Channeling and Restoration are the -ONLY- Attributes that benefirt from weapons, and Communing benefits little. (I should know, I have both Communing Wand & Focus sitting in my chest collecting dust bunnies.)
-4)- While 'hold' effect is most excellent, this doesnt have a 'drop' effect; ALL items spells should have both (or a generic extra armor/health/energy 'hold' bonus) to more then make up for lost of weapons... especially an ELITE!
-5)- At modest investment, Offering of Spirit when used on recharge religiously is equal to +1 energy regeneration and is considered superior to Attuned was Songkai as a result.

Change PvE functionality to (if PvP balance is an issue):

10 Energy2 Activation time60 Recharge time - (Spawning Power)- Elite Item Spell. (45 seconds.) Your spells and binding rituals activate +5...41...50% and cost -5...41...50% of the base Energy. -=OR=-

10 Energy2 Activation time60 Recharge time - (Spawning Power) - Elite Item Spell. (45 seconds.) Your spells and binding rituals cost -20...44...50% of the base Energy. Drop Effect: Your spells and binding rituals are recharged.

  • Addendum
-Possible Abuse? The recharge would mainly be useful for Meteor Shower-like skills -- currently spammed more frequently by a primary Elementalist with Arcane Echo and Echo, Glyph of Renewal or Assassin's Promise -- and "charged" rituals (Shelter, Rejuvenation, etc.), which are underpowered in PvE.
-So why use AwS? How else can Rits use Soothing Memories and Recuperation effectively? If Lancy's achieves success in her campaign for making Binding Rituals more active (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Lancy1214), and if Spawning power offers decent buff while holding Item Spells (such as Damage Reduction 1 per -X- Spawning Power ranks), then there is no justification for increased casting time. But a -DROP- effect is a must!
