ArenaNet talk:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/Changeable Underwear
make the underwear also changebale (Anonymous)
Lingerie, yes please. (Narziss 01:11, 2 June 2008 (UTC))
Thats a funny idia hoop they put it in GW2 (knikkerhero)
lol?they arent going to make gw...er......the best way to describe this....hmm....how about.....they arent going to make gw into animated...er.....****--Raph Talky 12:30, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- The underwear are only there so dumb kid dont go "lolz boobs" all day long. Changing the underwear style has no purpose because they arent visible during game play. Only silly naked-dancer would get to enjoy that and there is too many of them already in gw1. --Bob 21:13, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- you now some people play GW to relax and for fun, i never run in underwear but it doesn't bother me if you do so it would be nice to see different underwear, maybe bind them to a rank like nude dancing with titles like begining nudist and supreme firemen-stripper, so take yourself and GW les seriously and play it again for fun and wy not make it possibly to strip the full monty? (i now this is not possible because of some laws, stupid hypocrit americans and boring old men, and how would you make the texture model for penisses and would they be customable?)Rhonin Soren 17:49, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- changeable underware maybe not a good idea, but then again the thought that my assassin has went a full 2 years without changing those speedo's makes me wanna vomit The Only Warrior 11:15, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
No, should not happen, I play this game to get away from the stupid twelve-year-olds that just wanna jack around all day and don't take the game seriously in anyway. Their hordes have already infested any other MMO remotely worth playing and are starting to take a hold in GW. I hate the fact that i go into town and see people running around in underwear. For God's sake, please, add a default set of CLOTHS that go under armor or something. I'm with Ralph, should not happen. --Wolf 17:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I think the NPC that changed underwear would be hilarious. Think of the dialogue! I love this idea. Because everyone loves palm tree underwear and beach swim trunks! I know I do!
- I love the female monk undies! However, I'd sure like to have a speedo that says "No Booty Calls" on the butt for my male assassin. lol az :D 22:11, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, Wolf brings an interesting point. Other games(tm) actually solved this issue by having a standard set of normal clothes being used under any armor you wear (instead of, let's say, lingerie). Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea having a plain set of clothes that you can wear while "being naked".--Fighterdoken 22:19, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

This idea is awesome cause I'd want boxers with coronal light on it xDD Halogod35 01:48, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's not really a bad idea. I mean, I doubt anybody would really be running around naked in their underwear for long. It would probably be just the first day they get them, but when you see people in "Naked dance parties" in Shing Jea Monastery, that's just Americans being Americans. If it does happen, it would just be a fun little feature. (By the way, lingerie ISN'T sexy anymore) -__- az :D 15:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think an important note to make on this is that it's not really asking for anything different than what is already in GW. I mean, people already run around in their underwear quite often, and some of the existing underwear is quite sexy/revealing already (female assassin, for example). The only desire is to be able to change the look of that underwear from time to time, and not necessarily to make it more or less revealing, just to at least give us some options.
- Also, I removed the "half baked concept" addition to the "why this idea might not work" section because that is not a meaningful reason (or even really a coherent one), if anything it is an opinion and not a tangible reason for not including the idea in the game. I also edited some of the reasoning in this section to make it more NPOV and coherent. (Satanael 06:01, 19 June 2008 (UTC))
- Everyone should go watch X-rated movies if you want to stare at something revealing. Video games are a lame place to get off of, if I'm allowed to say that. az :D 15:13, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with azalea all the way, and also note that people will dance almost-nude in towns and guild halls anyways, so it would be nice to atleast see a variety in undergarments rather than the lame grey all the time. Also for those who don't want to see undergarments period, add an option to the option menu to have "underclothing" displayed instead of "undergarments". This solves both worlds. "Yay for options!" --Elven Chaos 01:48, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
50 bucks saying this is posted by the same person that posted the idea of having babies in GW 2 LMAO
- I will support this idea entirely if you can get Destroyer underwear. --Jette 03:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- (does anyone notice this is the suggestion with the most replies? :smirks: - I'll join.) As much as it's annoying to have a male warrior in his boxers humping on your back anyway, some variation would probably be nice. As for someone mentioning plain clothes underneath armor: I'd like the idea to add that as a game option in general. So that you dont need to see halfnaked people running around, only if you want to, and if you do want to, you get some extra choices. --Tenshi Samshel 04:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I think that the number of naked people running around and naked dance parties will be reduced since Shing Jea Monastery won't be accessable at first. Just stay away from Lions Arch. lol az :D 05:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Honestly I love this idea, I would love to have my Necro in something other than that hideous tanktop and granny panties. I also like the idea of a function that allows you to not be able to see other peoples underwear just a default pajamas or something. Maybe make it an option in character creation, what type of undies you want. --Shadowphoenix 05:34, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- What's with these horny people seeking 'action' in guild wars? We don't need people dry humping in every town and city. Honestly, get a girlfriend/boyfriend.
- Or a life. az :D 14:22, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Seriously guys. leave gw for gaming and not for jerking. The system how it is now is good, but If Anet decide to give us a set of clothes instead of underwear (I would vote for a Blanket Sleeper if that's d case :P) it wouldn't effect me. After all the only time i take my armor off is to savage it when I'm about to delete that char. --MageMontu 14:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. az :D 22:51, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) What's with everyone flaming this as a perverted idea? If you bother to read the suggestion, this isn't asking to make anything more sexual or revealing or anything like that, it's just asking for options. Seriously, if people wanted GW to be more revealing, we'd just ask them to go the way of Conan, but nobody's asking for that. Personally, I would be happy with keeping the same underwear we have now, and just allowing us to switch them around. I don't actually see how this idea is any different than asking for a hairstylist. Completely aesthetic and all it does is ask for options where we previously had none. (Satanael 03:25, 21 July 2008 (UTC))
- Agreed, but the only con I see about this idea is that it may encourage naked dance parties. Personally, I could care less since I tend to keep local chat off to ignore the hundreds of whammos tormenting my ritualist and mesmer daily, but I hear from other sources that it's quite annoying and immature. God bless America. And whoever other may foreign lands join in the nakednessnes? O.o az :D 04:18, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I say if they do include changeable undies, that they should be even more conservative then the default. And the more often you change them, the more they cover up. And to the previous comments that the naked people are "Americans being Americans" your wrong, its 13 year olds being 13 year olds. Leave the rest of us out of it.--Will Greyhawk 16:27, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, for starters, the first half of my comment was a joke. Secondly, the later half of my comment is true, you can't tell me that there isn't an equal percentage in other countries of 12-15yr olds doing that. Thirdly, Fuck you. Finally, "Mr. Conservative Patriot"? What the hell?--Will Greyhawk 11:02, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Considering what is classes as armor in Guild Wars, whats wrong with changeable underwear? 000.00.00.00 11:06, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I support this idea if I can have a speedo of Grenth 72.78.148.113 22:08, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Well
A better suggestion would be to allow the character to remove all their clothes.Pika Fan 09:12, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- You mean make them completely naked? That would most certainly change the game's rating... :] azalea||chat 20:57, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- If the character can change underwear, can I assume that players can and need to take off said underwear? If that is the case, is it a possibility that players are going to be running around and/or dancing naked. Guild Wars is not a nudist camp or did I miss something? (moved from main article to the discussion page, posted by Pumpkin pie)
- It is not required that having the ability to change underwear come with the ability to remove underwear. Just look at how heroes change armor. Also, it would be possible to allow people to put a new pair of underwear into their storage, and then have to double-click to change them, also allowing underwear to be changed without necessitating the actual removal of any underwear. Oh, there it is, thanks for moving my comment here, also wants to add, don't add unnecessary strain on the server. extra pairs of underwear may well take up huge chunk of the server is one, like to point out that the assassin's armor are not "underwear" to be exact, i think its more like body suit, gosh, whoever think those are underwear and keep starring at them ... LOL, i don't know, this is kinda an extremely funny request. Why in hell would you want your character to run around in their underwear in a game? Pumpkin pie 13:11, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
