I actually really like this idea. Tbh, I hate always playing the good guy in games; that is why I like games like Fable, because they allow you to choose you alignment, and I really like having that choice. --Shadowphoenix 05:25, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- I think the guy who posted this actually wanted to propose multipe-path choices that lead to diffrent ends of the story rather than choosing "good" or "bad" side. —ZerphaThe Improver 05:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well both are good ideas, but I would love to be evil lol --Shadowphoenix 18:42, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yea, I would love to help the dragons and then betraying them for loot.prokiller88 03:13, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I want to be EVILLLLLL T_T, but that would mean seperate storyline/map path progression/etc for ANet so I wouldn't know how they world layer that ontop the same map "good"-aligned players use, and I could imagine another corsair-prisoner-complaining-aunt complaining about "you're teaching my nephew to be evil! wait until the press hears about this!" x.x; Regardless, it would be awesome is ANet worked on a way to allow us to choose sides somewhere in the storyline, and that it drastically changed my storyline and not "ok, your evil, but your still gunna kill the dragon and "work" for the good guys". --Elven Chaos 00:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Alignment can be a good thing, or a bad thing depending on how rigid it becomes part of the game play. For example I'll use a favorite character of mine: Spike from Buffy the Vampire slayer. Spike was in essence when he was first introduced a evil character. in his own words "The big Bad". However by the end of the series he had saved several people from death and gave his life to prevent the end of the world. Through all that could he still be considered evil? No, of course not. So my point is, yes having the choice to be good or bad is great. but don't make it so you can ONLY be good or bad. Make it so you can be good or bad on your own whim. Be chaotic, or neutral or whatever your fancy. So I think "choosing sides" simply won't work. DBZVelena | (Talk page) 17:28, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
