ArenaNet talk:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/Class Based Gui's
Actually the look of the GUI has changed a few times over the years, its just been a while since the last change. That said, I think it would be interesting if the battlefield appeared differently fto each class. Monks would see damaged and hexed allies with various colored auras asround them, Necros could have a display showing the number and location of dead bodies withing range and warriors might see different colored auras indicating armor strength.--Shai Halud 16:48, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, seeing stuff diferently would be really helpful... each class could also have different UI options, i.e. a monk can choose to use healer (peoples aura would get darker on low health) or condition/hex or whatever... maybe you would be able to customize people's aura colors and intensity according to different variables, so you could track stuff using auras...
Very interesting suggestion. I support it. Being a back line person I would like to opportunity to have a different outlook on what my primary objectives are, those being protection/healing/smiting. I really don't care about aggro control or as much in terms of position requirements (relatively speaking) as a warrior should. It would be really helpful having a much much more customizable GUI system or a pre-made GUI specifically geared towards maximizing your profession.
Besides, having a specific GUI for a class makes you much more involved when you in fact play that class, allowing you to see things you need to know while still being able to the see the common stuff every profession should have. --Astra Argus 22:07, 18 December 2008 (EST)
