...People might complain about their kids getting hooked on gambling, like they did when they added a casino in the Pokemon games.Joseph Canaro 01:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Think about it, it's a very stupid idea. GW2 takes place in the medieval times and were there casinos in the medieval times, no. there was gambling but no casinos. Anyway people would probably bitch because they got to hooked and lost all their money and thing and start blaming anet saying it was their fault they lost everything they had.
- I personally like the idea i play blackjack from time to time, for peanuts really (and occasionally literally) and a game I am trying out; Rohan: Blood Feud, good game btw, has (essentially) a blackjack game, i haven't tried it, and since its still open beta, am not sure if its working yet it sounds FUN. Last time i checked the reason i played a game, cards or computer, was to have fun. If a person cannot handle loosing "everything they had" (come on its a game people kill a harpy and get some more gold if needed) then they shouldn't play if a parent needs to limit gambling from teens then allow a 2nd "casino" password limiting the playing ability of said teenager. Slap into the agreement that any monetary loss due to in game gambling is your own fault legally makes it the sore losers problem not A-nets. case and point, id like to see a little wager now and then, and there were "casino's" way back when they were just a little more...Spartan. - All things considered, this topic is highly controversial. ArenaNet has already taken action against gambling in the current game and I don't think they're going to throw that stance away in the next just because introducing gambling to teens is 'fun.' Law suits may be involved and it surrounds the title with a negative air. Do you really want ANet to lose money over this, its not really a selling point afterall. -- Spawn Legacy 05:47, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
