Creating page so I can watch it to answer any questions. --Jette 03:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

To summarize:Allow characters to change primary professions. I'd have no problem with that. I never liked creating another character in GW1 just to find that I had to do all the quests, get all the runes, finish all the missions again. However, I do understand that making this possible would reduce the replayability of the game, so I doubt it would happen. If it were to happen though, I would only add that this capability to change primary professions be given to a character ONLY after they have completed the campaign, just to encourage those players to go back and replay at least the missions and repeatable quests as a different primary profession, without forcing them to go through the whole grind of gaining the skills, XP, runes, armor, quest completion,etc.--209.194.208.116 19:20, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

I could envision some kind of "reincarnation" system that allows you to change models and primary profession. Like the previous poster, I would require completion of the campaign. I also think it should not be free, it should require a skill point or something to be reincarnated. I also would not morph your armor when you change primaries. Your armor would be unequipped and you would require a separate set of profession-appropriate armor with all the runes and insignias. This would make it simpler to implement too. The ability to change primary profession would grant a lot more flexibility when grouping up.

Allowing players to change primary professions may reduce replayability, but with enough title tracks it shouldn't be an issue. How many times are you going to want to go through vanquishing, earning points for the various factions, earning guardian, etc? Unless GW2 has a monthly subscription, ANet has little incentive to encourage creating separate characters for the different professions. --12:48, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
