ArenaNet talk:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/siren caller
Read and comment please! its just this idea i have had for a long time and really think its unique. The Emissary 05:31, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- No. Any class that can control another players movement is a bad Idea. Controlling another player cannot be balanced and ruins PvP. I have played it in other MMO's and it is the worst type of skill you can put in a game. Examples: RO had a skill called provoke which forced the enemy to attack you. people would abuse this so people in low level areas couldn't get exp and the new players would get reported for KSing if they tried to kill the provoked enemy. Second Example. WoW has a skill called Fear which forces the enemy to run a way. you may thing that's not so bad. but it get worse, because of this some one can completely control the opposing healer for the entire match or completely make there Paladin useless in PvP. Also it dose not fit the guild wars experience at all. One of the things that is very prominent in GW is Free Will. If some thing like this was put in Guild Wars 2 I would not buy it.--Yozuk 20:55, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

i see your point, i think i will remove that then. barring any balancing issues what do you think? The Emissary 00:52, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
changed it. personally i still like the idea of physically moving an opponent (kinda like a targeted shadow-step. Also, the moving the healer thing, obviously there would be counter movement skills, i mean really, this is A-net we are talking about). The Emissary 01:03, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, I have drastically altered it in both flavor and to make its role and origins known. I also simplified it a bit so that it can be changed again if needed. Finally, I changed the weapon because that ways kinda silly and had far to many problems, instead I added a flag standard, which i think is cool (give me a standard for the Charr patrol groups or for the undead army or the city of Ebonhalk and i will be happy.) Makes me kinda wish i could change the name no, oh well. The Emissary 16:55, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
