Question, why in the world are people placing stub tags at the BOTTOM of the articles? --Karlos 17:09, 8 February 2007 (PST)
- Not sure either. S2 seems adamant about placing them at the bottom but I feel that people should know right off if the article is incomplete.--VGJustice 00:00, 14 February 2007 (PST)
- Why do you think that the incompleteness of an article is so important that it is the first thing the reader reads? S 00:44, 14 February 2007 (PST)
- Wikipedia places them at the bottom. GuildWiki is one of very few that puts them at the top! — Skuld 00:04, 14 February 2007 (PST)
- I just do it like Wikipedia. Seems like we need a policy on this. --Vindexus 00:05, 14 February 2007 (PST)
- Ugh. Please, no policies for such frivolous stuff. S 00:44, 14 February 2007 (PST)
- No, it kinda does look like we should have a policy on it since there's a lot of conflicting points of view on this. I don't actually care one way or the other, so long as it's uniform. And if there's no policy, then people from GWiki will come here and place the stub tag at the top, someone will come along and place it at the bottom, and we'll end up with a rollback war over something pointless.--VGJustice 23:06, 14 February 2007 (PST)
- I can deal with that.--VGJustice 18:51, 15 February 2007 (PST)
Stub Duration[edit]
Once someone generates an article, and marks it as a stub, and several other people add on to it, or polish it up, at what point does it stop being a stub and have the tag removed? and who removes the tag? LeFick 19:21, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- Good question...since October 2007...answer? Yoshida Keiji talk With appearance of: Yoshida Keiji talk 14:38, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Stub template icon[edit]
Many of the stub templates do not have an associated icon on them. The icons make it easier to tell at a glance what kind of stub it is. I would like to add icons to the templates (the same icons used on GuildWiki preferably; assuming licensing) because it makes it easier to look at. Since these templates have been around a while and appear in a lot of places, I figured it would be better to ask for some input before just playing with them. —♥Jedi♥Rogue♥ 17:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I believe Guild Wiki and this wiki have differing licenses. I wouldn't mind this idea. --People of Antioch 23:17, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- As long as the icons used are under the correct license. I don't care either way, since I try to just get rid of the stubs rather than uh just try and recognise it quickly ;) If they do get changed, it'd be nice to also try to introduce a slight padding to the bottom, since on some pages, there's very little white space between the stub line and the introductory text. -- ab.er.rant 03:19, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, yes, I'm well aware of the different licenses lol. Most of the icons used on GuildWiki are still ones created by Biro and are released under the GFDL and are fine here. Or we could go get him to make us fresh ones... —♥Jedi♥Rogue♥ 04:48, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Skill History[edit]
Today I woke up in good mood and chose to support wiki, so I click "How to help", then "Incomplete Articles" and when I start choosing links that I think could add something like "Skill History"... there is nothing in it... Why are such pages included in the stub list? Yoshida Keiji talk With appearance of: Yoshida Keiji talk 14:42, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
