Rigor Mortis: 10 1 25 , changed functionality to: "Spell. Exploit target corpse. That corpse can't be resurrected for 0...6...8 seconds." Moved to Death Magic.
Soul Reaping: This attribute now gives energy whenever you exploit a corpse instead of giving it when something dies. The timer has been removed.
Reasoning:
- The new Rigor Mortis makes it possible to control Resurrection for a short period of time, something that can be of great use if used properly. Also, it fits the theme better.
- The old Rigor Mortis penetrates defenses but only one at the time, promoting spike play. While there isn't anything particularly wrong with that, the old version proved to be only used in gimmicky spike builds, something that is probably better of being somewhat weaker.
- Concerning Soul Reaping, this change fixes several things at once: No more abuse in Sway teams (which hasn't been meta for a while but it's never good to leave problematic functions there, ready to damage the game once more) because it won't be working with spirits/minions anymore and Soul Reaping ceasing to be a passive attribute are examples of those things. Also, it fits the theme better.
Enjoy discussing.
