- The issue
Well, my hands hurt. There are a lot of repetitive movements that could be avoided.
- The suggestions
Make the UI more healthy, adding ways to minimize the pressure in our hands.
- Toggle-able Control and Alt"
- A new checkbox would be added to the Options General tab. While checked, the "Show all enemies" and "Show all items and allies" (Linked by default to Control and Alt respectively) will be toggle-able, instead having to hold the buttons down to keep the numbers shown. That is, hit the key once, would be like holding the key, and hitting it again would be like releasing the hold. That way players won't have to keep two fingers holding keys most of the time.
- Identification and salvage
- "Identify all" button in merchants. By paying 6 gold per item, a merchant would identify everything that is in the bags you are currently showing. (You show and hide bags in merchants with the checkboxes in the top of the list of items).
- "Salvage all" button in merchants. By paying 25 gold per item, a merchant would salvage all identified items that are in the bags you are showing him. In this case, you will receive a warning and will be prompted to stop if you are going to salvage items linked to quick-weapon slots, items with salvageable upgrades or customized items.
- Shift+Click to keep identifying and salvaging. Instead having to double click the kit, click the item and then double click the kit again and repeat this again and again every single time you want to use the kit multiple times, by holding shift, you won't have to double click the kit again. The client will automatically do so if the kit still has uses when you hold shift when clicking an item to apply a kit use. This would be halted if you try to salvage an item customized, with upgrades or in linked to a quick-weapon slot - since the salvage panel would appear - in which case you'll have to double click the kit again.
- Automated trader purchase.
- A number-only textbox and a new button would be added to all traders. In the textbox you input the number of times you want to purchase the currently selected item. And the other button will be a start/cancel button. After inputting the number, you click the Start button, and the button changes into a Cancel button, while the client automatically purchases the item, then waits for response from the server, then purchases the item again, while reducing the number in the textbox until A) You run out of cash. B) The price of the item changes. C) The number in the textkbox hits 0. So this won't be like purchasing items in bulks from traders, but like manually purchasing them by clicking the item again and again, just without losing you hands and patience in the process.
