The Idea[edit]

My Suggestion to this game is to make WvW fighting a bit more interesting. There would be separate servers dedicated to WvW, and separate servers to PvE. However, the dynamic events and the side quests that are active in PvE servers, would be incorporated into the WvW servers. In merging PvE events with PvP fighting it could make battle grounds for WvW players more challenging. An example would be this: say you have two guilds fighting over control for Lions Arch, as they are fighting a dragon would appear to attack both sides. The sides can make the choice of continuing fighting each other, or they could call a truce to kill the dragon. Not only does this allow for alliances, but for guilds it allows them to show off their strength.

Guilds will pay[edit]

No the title is not talking a guild paying real money to own cities, but they will have to pay with game currency in order to control a city. There are no requirements to what city a guild can capture, as long as they can with the size of their guild. A guild can control multiple cities if it wishes. However, the guild its self will have to "pay the city" to keep it in good condition. An example of how much the guild would have to pay is; If a guild is currently controlling Lions Arch they will have to pay a monthly fine of in-game money to keep control of the city. Let say the guild has to pay a fine of 80k a month (Note: this is just an example, and its only a big number cause Lions Arch is a major city). So if the guild fails to be able to pay the amount needed the guild can be thrown out of power by the city it's self, making the city once again a neutral city and available for capture. But if the guild can maintain the cities "payment" other guilds can try and capture it from the current guild controlling the city. The controlling guild can also take a slight advantage over players

Neutral Player/Guild Interactions[edit]

Neutral Players can play a significant role in the battles and economy of the cities guilds control. Neutral Players have an advantage of not taking sides with either side and there can be disadvantages as well. It all depends on who controls the city, and what your stand with the current ruling guild is.

A Neutral Player has the advantage to be able to go in and out of cities without having to worry about being attacked. So if a palyer is mainly focused on being a merchant, and they can say they take no side in battles they are only there to make a profit. This can keep them out of the battles but it doesn't mean they are free to stay. Players who buys items, weapons ect. in WvW cities have to pay 10% more then what they normally would pay even if they buy it from another player, but they get 5% more when they sell an item to a merchant. The 10% and 5% extra goes to the controlling Guild of the city so its less troublesome to pay off fine if a lot of ppl buy and sell in WvW Lions Arch. This would be a revenue for player merchants to make maybe a little bit more money.

A Neutral Player can also be a mercenary for either guild in a battle. A guild can hire players individually or they can hire an entire guild to help them fight off the enemy. These random people can be one of your biggest advantages when fighting an enemy guild, the more you have the easier it is to fight.

All your Cities belong to us![edit]

There are no requirements to what city a guild can capture it just as long as they can with the size of their guild. In order for the guild to capture a city that is neutral they will need to fight for it. The battle rules of attack a city currently neutral (NPC controlled) are the same as if a guild was attacking a city controlled by a guild.

If a guild, who is in control of a city or not in control of a city, wants to try and take another guilds city they have to issue a challenge to that guild. An example of how to capture a city is this; lets say guild Dark Hearts of Abbadon[This guild can be considered as a random generated NPC guild name] (DHoA) controls the city of Lions Arch, and has a rival guild called The Soldiers of Dwyana (TSoD)currently controls no city. TSoD wants to try and take control of Lions Arch so they can have it for their own. A challenge is sent out to DHoA saying that TSoD wants to fight them for Lions Arch. DHoA's Guild Leader has 48 hours to respond, if they are still actively controlling the city, they can set a time in a 24 hour period prior to the response when the fight will take place. TSoD's Guild Leader is sent back the time of when the battle will be, and they will need to rally their guild to be ready to attack the rival guild. Even if the guild does not show up the battle time will start, and if no guild shows in 30 minutes of when the battle started they automatically forfeit the fight.

The way to announce who has won the battle will be to either capture 5 neutral points with in the battle zone and kill the enemies Guild leader once all 5 zones have been captured, or the defending guild has defended the city for one hour (Note: number of zones to capture in city is decided by the size of the city). If the attacking guild captures 2 posts, 15 minutes is added to the battle clock. There can only be 30 minutes total added to the clock, once 4 zones have been captured no more time can be added to the clock (previously controlled zones do not count even if recaptured).

When all 5 zones are captured by one guild the guild leader and his guild is automatically teleported back to what would be their main camp. Let say TSoD has succeeded in capturing all 5 points in Lions Arch. DHoA is now forced from what ever battle they may have been fighting and is now placed in their camp (The guild will be fully healed when teleported). DHoA has two options; stand and defend for the remaining time left in battle, or they can try and regain the 5 zones. In either sense if the guild leader is killed during either option chosen the guild loses the city. If the attack guild loses to the defending guild though, they end up having to pay the monthly fine for the city. Either guild has a chance of coming out of the battle the victory, but guilds can also turn the tide buy hiring other guilds to fight with them

Note: I will be adding more on to this later Also when I first wrote this my grammar was poor. Now it has slightly improved, so I will be editing the grammar

Idea for neutral guilds/players and realtions between the two I think has already been sumbitted by http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedback:User/Nocktheshaman so I do not want to take credit for his idea if our two ideas are related
