Two simple suggestions about the user interface.
- The emote part is more about convenience. Sometimes I wish I could just hit a button and my character would immediatly perform the attached emote.
- Since performing emotes would become more straightforward, the only counterpart I could think of is overloading the emote channel. Of course a player can simply disable that channel, but making it so it doesn't display "X is doing Y" if you use a shortcut could be a better idea. After all, the /emote * (synchronization) is also a feature that would cause many emote notifications at once and that's probably why it is disabled as well.
- Since the command menu is sorted and expandable, I doubt it would be an issue.
- It would also diminish the language barrier where people are not sure of the spelling or translation (many emote translations are not optimal), and simply make it more convenient. Being able to simply hit /resign, /shoo, /yawn, /rank or /zrank shouldn't create any problem or bug.
- The pet shortcuts are more gameplay relevant. Excluding a few, most builds including a pet are mediocre, so such additional difficulties are hard to work around. The main issue is simple here:
- Clicking tiny icons over and over is not precise at all and gets tiring rather quickly. Keyboard shortcuts to "call" the icons would make pets less of a hassle.
