Mark of Protection: x x x For x seconds, the next three times target ally should take more than x damage, that damage is negated and that ally is healed for that amount instead (maximum x).
Right now it's unuseable. It's almost a god-mode but people will just shatter it or wait it out while attacking other targets.
Various reasoning people really, really care about:
- Two issues need to be dealt with: secondary use and smiter use (ungrateful numbers unless fully specced into protection prayers could work).
- Unlike Reversal of Fortune, it will seldom be wasted since it has a minimum cap. Unlike Aura of Faith, it can provide healing (assuming it is used properly and thus triggers), which means it needs to be heavier on the monk.
- It probably needs a minimum cap to be worth considering. Unlike Life Sheath it doesn't provide a guaranteed effect, nor utility.
- A demanding energy cost, short length and relative lack of effect if not used right should promote competent usage.
- I'm not a game balancer so submitting numbers is probably useless. Just take note of the idea: multiple Reversal of Fortune.
