This is a very big suggestion here for GW1, one which i think should have done Anet long time ago to make GW1 better anmd again more overviewable in regard of the skills of the game and also to be able again to implement for the classes in certain time periods a few NEW skills, because adding new skills to the classes keeps them interesting und people will have to hunt new bosses for Elites ect.
GW1 has so many bad skills due to the douzends of skill balancings, where skills got nerfed to death, or skills which have received since 5+ years no single buff, but would desperately need a buff to be an interesting skill to use, cause of the later campaigns havign added very similar skills that are more powerful, or synergize better in builds or have nice side effects like dealing conditions. I'll go through here now every single profession, but here I begin just with the Warrior only and will list up, what I think which skills should get merged together:
Warrior
"Fear Me!" + "For Great Justice!" = "Fear My Justice!" - 10E, Recharge 30 Seconds
Shout (15 Seconds)You have +5..15..20% Chance to deal criticals against enemies that suffer on hexes. While this shout is active do you gain +1-+3 Adrenaline more whenever you hit and nearby enemies of you lose 1..2..4 Energy whenever you hit. This shout counts for all allies in range and is no self buff anymore.
"I Will Avenge You!" + "I Will Survive!" = "I Will Survive & Avenge You!" - 5E, Recharge 45 Seconds
Shout (5..10..15 Seconds) you will have +2..4..6 Life Regeneration and Attack 25% faster. For each Ally that has under 33..40..50% Health will you receive for 3..4..5 Seconds and additional +50..75..100 Maximum Health and a Damage Reduction of -5
"On Your Knees!" + Mighty Blow = Mighty Knee Breaker - 7A
Hammer Attack. Deals +10..25..40 Damage and knocks down adjacent enemies. If this Skill hits enemies, that are already knocked down, then will get all your Stances immediately recharged.
"Charge!" + "Retreat!" = "Assault!" - 5E, Recharge 15 Seconds
Shout (5..10..15 Seconds) You and all your allies will move for the duration of this Skill 33% faster, get healed from 1 condition + cripple and the next 1..2..3 skills of all allies, except elite skills, will instantly recharge and cost 3..5..7 Energy lesser.
"Watch Yourself!" + "Shields Up!" = "Guard Yourself!" - 5A
Shout (10 Seconds) You and all your allies in earshot range will have +5..15..25 Armor + additional 5..25..35 Armor against projectiles. The Skill will automacally begin from start of its duration, whenever you get hit by an projectile at a chance of 5..10..15%
"Victory Is Mine!" + "To The Limit!" = "The Victory Shall Be Our!" - 10E, Recharge 30 Seconds
Shout (10..15..20 Seconds) You all all your allies in earshot range will receive +10..35..60..100 Max Health and +25% Max Energy. Everytime you or your allies deal conditions to targets within the duration of this skill, will get all allies that are affected by this skill healed for 10..25..40 Health and 1..3..5 Energy
Barbarous Slice + Sever Artery + Gash = Deadly Artery Slicer - 5A
Sword Attack. Deals + 5..20..30 Damage and inflicts 5..10..15 Seconds Bleeding. Hits this skill an already bleeding target, will you inflict also to the Bleeding a Deep Wound and the duration of both negative conditions will by 5 seconds longer.
Berserker Stance + Frenzy + Frenzied Defense+ Endure Pain = Rage of the Frenzy Berserker - 5E, Recharge 25 Seconds
Stance (5..7..15 Seconds) While this Stance is active, will you attack 25% faster, your attacks will have +5..10..15% Armor Ignoration and you have a 75% Chance to block attacks, but you will take double damage from all sources, but your Max Health will also get increased in this time for +90..250..300 Health
Enraging Charge + Flurry + Flail = Enraged Flurry of Flail - 5E, Recharge 20 Seconds
Skill (10 Seconds) You leap to your next 1..2..3 nearby enemies. The enemy will receive 2..3 quick hits that will deal all 25% lesser damage than normal. Not useable wwith Bows. If you use this Skill with Hammers or Scythes, will you move after this skill for 10 seconds 90% slower and the attacks of these weapons will deal 33% lesser damage than normal.
Power Attack + Jaizhenju Strike = Powerful Strike - 5E, Recharge 5 Seconds Melee Attack. You deal + 10..20..30 Damage. The Skill is unblockable if you are in a Stance and if your are not in a Stance, then will this Skill deal to the enemy the condition of broken armor.
Just a few examples to show up, how much potential there is to merge skills for the Warrior (not to mention all the other classes) This would give the tgame space to implement new skills for the class, while making at the same time lame, boring and useless old skilsl more interestign and again a bit more powerful. With alone my exahmple here so far alone would that mean, that Warriors would receive so far new space for at least 14 new skills, so that they come up to the same amount of skilsl the class had, before the older skills got merged. I think it would be awesome to see for GW1 one day an update, where all classes receive some complete new skills and seeign that some of their old skills got merged together. This would also completely make the game in PvP ect more interestign again ,as these changes and additional skilsl would surely change also a bit the meta game. The changes and new skills could also open up total new opportunities for PvE as also PvP builds and thats in the end the most interesting thign of GW1... creating builds with all those skills and finding synergies.
