Why[edit]
Oh Steady Aim, you routinely end up as one of the worst Dwayna Vs Grenth profession skills according to popular opinion, which is a shame considering your activation animation is the most beautiful thing in existance (aka my addiction). I tried using it quite a bit in random matches this past Wintersday to see if it was really as horrible as everybody said it was. While I didn't find it terrible, it does need to be mostly spammed since it's not as concentrated as many of the other elites. This is a bit mindless and not strategy. I love how you can be crazy far away from targets, yet your snowballs still continue to hit. Saved a lot of knockdowns on super long range targets that would have normally strayed. However, there are a lot of good players who can still easily dodge faster moving snowballs, even gift carriers, so it isn't a failsafe. Regardless, I just brainstormed different ideas for what Steady Aim could be transformed into to make it more popular.
1 is just a numbers tweak. 200% faster could be translated as the next snowball cannot be dodged.
2 helps to stall but at the cost of damage. It would only effect snowballs that would not cause knockdown normally, that way your Mega Snowballs wouldn't trigger the 0 damage penalty for doing something they already would do.
3 reminds me of "Go for the Eyes!", as anything that criticals deals more damage. Plus it actually makes sense that if you had a Steady Aim, you would hit for more damage.
4 is based off Anthem of Fury.
5 well Paras are known for reducing damage as well.
