The basic idea:
Wouldn't it be nice, if you could have your old characters from Guild Wars 1 with you in Guild Wars 2? And don't we all love minipets? Then why shouldn't you be able to create your very own minipet with the appearance of one of your GW1 characters? I think it would be a great idea.
How it works?
Once you have your GW1 account linked with your GW2 account, there would be a new item available in your ingame shop. It would be similar to the mercenary heroes available in the GW1 ingame store. You buy one minipet token and bring that to a minipet carver. He will then ask you from which modell he should create a minipet. You can then choose the GW1 character you would like to have as a minipet. You should be able to see what it will look like, so a preview window would be great. Once you create that minipet, you can create as many minipets of that character as you like. They wouldn't be tradable, have no value, can't be dropped or used by other players.
It could also work more like the mercenary heroes in GW1, where you simply buy a minipet slot. If you wish, you can delete the minipet you created and make one of another character. You could also have both options. A permanent minipet for a lower price, and the changable minipet slot for a higher price.
