Lion's Arch Keep, the Outpost

After completion of The War in Kryta, create Lion's Arch Keep (outpost) to replace Lions Arch Keep (explorable area). This reduces the required rezoning for WiK bounties and removes the necessity to break up groups of seven or eight in order to visit Salma for claiming rewards. (Perhaps it might be called, Lion's Arch Castle, in keeping with Salma's promotion from princess to queen.)

In addition, allow people to claim Wanted! bounty rewards from the signpost rather than from Princess/Queen Salma.

Background

Reasons for making it an explorable area

The historical reasons for presenting LAK as a post-WiK explorable area have expired:

• Non-participating accounts already obtain Oppressor's Weapons and other elite items from the War in Kryta.
• People (mostly) already know the story associated with the area.
• The game can still limit access to the outpost through use of an initial gatekeeper to unlock it for the first time (your character gets removed from the party if they don't meet the necessary requirements).

Reasons why it would be better to be an outpost

But there are problems associated with having this as an explorable area:

• Currently, you must zone twice as often in order to participate in the Wanted bounties:
  • Currently: map to LA → find gatekeeper → enter LA Keep (Grab Bounty) → map to outpost (including LA) → Kill target → Map to LA → find gatekeeper → enter LA Keep (visit Salma)
  • Proposed: map to LA Keep (Grab Bounty) → map to outpost → Kill target → Map to LA Keep (visit Salma) (reduces from 8 activities to 4)
• Currently, you have to break up parties of 8 to claim a reward, e.g. after killing Carnak with a full party, you resign (to Temple of the Ages), then must drop two party members to map to LA.

Reasons for claiming the reward from the signposts

• Currently, if you have queued up three bounties, in order to request a new one you must:

  Zone → navigate to Salma → claim the reward → navigate back to the signpost

• If you just want to claim a reward, you are forced to navigate to Salma, even though the signpost is next to the portal.
• In contrast, ZB/ZM/ZVQs/Zombats are all requested and awarded at their respective signposts.
