Introduction[edit]

Many players feel passionate about their faction allegiance and work hard to max their respective titles, however once the title has been maxed there is little reward for the player beyond more effective allegiance skills. Many players also have nothing to spend faction on any more so they either swap alliances or create a new account to continue farming faction points. This proposal is to introduce a faction merchant which rewards players for gaining ranks in this title and act as a faction sink at the same time.

Proposal[edit]

Introduce an NPC which sells items to players for Luxon or Kurzick faction. This NPC would be designed to reward players who had worked on maxing the Luxon or Kurzick allegiance titles.

The NPC would trade things like consumables, green weapons, alcohol, sweets, party title items.

The costing system would work similair to the Balthazar faction unlocks in the Zaishen Menagerie. More rare and valuable items will require higher faction commitments, with the rarest items requiring 70,000 faction. This would prevent people who have lower ranks in the allegiance titles from being able to purchase the items, and requiring a 70,000 faction donation is a significant amount of faction for those who have the title maxed.

Example[edit]

Luxon Title Merchant

  • Luxon Wine - 20,000 Luxon Faction
  • Sparkler - 15,000 Luxon Faction
  • Creme Brulee - 20,000 Luxon Faction
  • Luxon Summoning Stone - 40,000 Luxon Faction
  • Jade Summoning Stone - 50,000 Luxon Faction
  • Savior's Luxon Staff (green or gold, same stats as traveller's bo staff - customised) - 70,000
  • Savior's Luxon Sword - 70,000

Summation[edit]

Obviously the numbers and rewards can change, but this is a rough idea of the kinds of things, and how they will be costed, the trader can offer. Consumables and summoning stones would provide something fun and unique for the trader. The green weapons would be fun for players to feel they hold something valuable linked to their dedication to the allegiance (the word savior comes from the title) and if they come customised this prevents them from being traded, helping to maintain their inherent value. Ideally a full set of weapons would be made to accommodate all classes. Green weapons have a unique shiny feel but gold weapons are always more customisable.
