Other games have pubs/explorable buildings that players can enter and relax, have a drink, etc. A tavern or pub in cities would provide a great central meeting place for characters to discover new friends, watch a show on the pub's stage, and even buy drinks to work on their drunkard title.

Bartenders and waitresses in the pub could discuss local news and give players hints about the region, as well as repeat rumors they've heard about upcoming world events, etc.
