Official "Go To Guy" ?

I am still very new here on the wiki. However I have lots of time on my hands for reading these days, and I read that you are somewhat the official "Go To Guy" or gal in this case. I have posted a feedback on (what I consider to be important) change about the current game. I don't know how difficult that would be to produce. My husband said it would require mostly changes to the database and mechanics of the game. :P Oh and if you have time, could you look over this map and make sure I haven't renamed something already "officially" named? Thanks --Wendy Black 05:22, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Gaile isn't the go-to for feedback reading. The devs look at the feedback pages and will implement your suggestion if they think it's a feasible/useful addition. Also, you could just search the wiki for each thing you named on that map. Never mind, I read that part wrong. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 18:52, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your input Kyoshi, but to clarify what I was stating, it was said, Gaile Gray is employed by the company as a liaison. She is the contact by which communications, between the company the users are made. I don't know if a programmer has time (especially with them busy with the new game) to browse the wiki. I thought that if Miss Gray has the time to read my short paragraph, she might know of someone inside the company who would be interested in such a project. I didn't mean to offend anyone by saying that she was responsible for all the feedback or that users should contact her about feedback. I was told by my husband (who is a programmer) that it would be a bigger project than just changing a few lines of code and that the request would most likely be ignored. In my opinion she is not obligated to even respond to my posting. But thank you for your opinion Kyoshi.--Wendy Black 20:21, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Gaile is the support liaison. Stuff to do with game accounts, basically. The role you're describing is a community manager (which Gaile used to be before moving to the support liaison gig some years ago, and is now filled by Stephane Lo Presti, Regina Buenaobra, and Martin Kerstein).
As for suggestions, the feedback namespace on the wiki was created in concert with the ArenaNet team specifically for the purpose of having an organized place for them to read suggestions. They have stated on many occasions that they do in fact read it (though they do not generally take the time to respond), so rest assured that whether your suggestions are implemented or not, they are seen. - Tanetris 02:14, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Per Tanetris. In addition, if your feedback is being "ignored" (or rather, if the devs look at it and decide it's not viable/useful) then they simply can't do it or don't want it as a feature in their game. Appealing to Gaile wouldn't change that. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 17:10, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Ok you guys can stop beating her up with the 2 by 4, she caved in with last post. :D --Jabhacksoul 01:22, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Strange, snarky back-talk like "thank you for your opinion" usually indicates just the opposite of caving in. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 01:42, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
No beating up intended on my part (and I apologize if it came off that way, Wendy); just tossing some information around. Knowledge is power and so forth. - Tanetris 09:11, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Please allow me to apologize, if I came off being short tempered or irritable, I did not mean it to sound insincere. Sometimes language is a difficult barrier to master, even with the advanced translation equipment available. Also I apologize for the user Jabhacksoul, he obviously believes I need defending in some manner, when I can offer my own opinion. While it is true, I did not plan to reply back to any statements made, unless I had heard back from Gaile herself. I was obviously initially interested in her opinion, since this is her talk page. If my behavior was inappropriate, immature, or lacked the respect intended, I am sorry for my actions and I hope that we can put this matter behind us. If you have any thoughts in this, please feel free to share. You may contact me on my user talk page at your convenience. --Wendy Black 00:41, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Hi Wendy. My apologies for not responding earlier! I note that your suggestion was made before the last Closed Beta Test. There has been much coverage of the game by press outlets around the world and I think you'll find information of value (and great relevance) in some of the articles on this page. All the best! -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 23:43, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

GW2 Beta

Hi Gaile, I missed the GW2 beta signup, is there any way I can get my name down on the list? I assure you i'd be an asset :D 78.150.132.184 23:13, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Really sorry to hear you missed it, but unfortunately, there's no way to get a name on the list if it wasn't in the system on the correct dates. :( -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 23:15, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the swift reply. I will have to find someone who got into the beta and watch then play it through their bedroom window! 78.150.132.184 23:59, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
According to the beta test FAQ, there will be additional beta test sign up dates in the future. So just keep on top of GW2 related news because I'm sure it'll be a short signup just like this one. --Lania User Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg00:16, 03 March 2012 (UTC)
It's always a good idea to watch the website for news. Ya never know what's coming down the pike! :) -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 00:36, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
I'll keep a look out for those updates. Hopefully it will be as Lania said. 78.150.132.184 13:06, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
