I <3 Our Wiki Folks

I wanted to give a personal thanks to everyone who helped with the move of our ArenaNet pages to the Feedback pages. My pages are working just great and I'm so grateful for all the hard work you guys did to make a smooth transition. I mean, I was posting again in 10 minutes. (Which is a good thing, as I get a little antsy if I can't wiki. :) )

Yep, works like a charm. (And from my page, you can get to all the Support-related pages, as well, so that's nice.) I know when I need to link to a staff member's talk pages, that's the system I use: User:(name). -- Gaile 19:09, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Is the wiki our worse enemy

A wiki user recently requested that all character names shall be deleted from her user page for security reason. What are your thoughts on this ? I found your answer: "I think the chances of someone getting account credentials and a character name are very small, but I did make the recommendation months ago that people not expose their character names on fan forums or through other means. I think it's a personal call, Yseron. I have my character names on my page. Many others do. Some who did, do. Some who did, now do not. I guess if I had to do it over again, I would not post my names. But I don't feel right removing them now and they're rather easy to guess, so I'm leaving it be. :) -- Gaile 23:25, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Wasn't it the combination of having the email address, password and char names connected? With the wiki, its not as easy to gather those 3 items together unless you know how to look, where as on most websites, you can obtain a list from the administrator. These bots look for fast, easily listed, you can highlight across means of information. For the most part, especially with anet employees listed here as well, I don't think the wiki is risky.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 23:30, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Emm im srry but im new to this posting stuff and im asking a question. How do u make ur own section to ask a question. Srry if ima invading someone elses ah 'space' as it were just wondering... At the very top or each page, there's a little tab with a "+" to add a new section to the discussion. I already made a placeholder title for this one. Then use the [edit] link to the right of the headers to add to those topics. And before you ask Gaile a question, please read the stuff at the top of this page. Austin, if you click "edit" view, you'll be able to see how you make a headline (couple of equal signs on each side), how you indent (a colon for each space of indentation) and so forth. Don't worry about messing up, but I do appreciate that you want to know how to start a new section for a topic, because people do forget and I just found someone's March comment that he accidentally added to a January discussion. :) (Thanks for your helpful comments, Rose.) -- Gaile 18:56, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

GW2 feedback =

Hi Gaile,

I've been reading the various GW2 articles on the GW2 website and I've had some thoughts (both good and bad) and concerns (generally bad, but I suppose that's par for the course) about some of the things I've read. I was wondering if you could suggest to me a place where I could post said feedback (I figure that's easier than tracking down someone on vent).
