Exhaustion is a good way to force players to use their skills in a strategic way. Shock and Gale are good examples of them. They can influence the field tremendously, but you have to use them sparingly. Earthquake / Dragon Stomp works great with Glyph of Energy as it is now. It does not need a buff, just good timing. Disabling those exhausting spells just removes all strategic elements from it and dumbs down eles even more. Koda Kumi 20:36, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- ok maybe not shock and gale, but stuff like the mind skills, Obsidnian Flame, damage skills with low recharge, yeah they have their own effects that is worth the exhaustion, but how many people uses those skills, yeah maybe this whole suggestion is because of my beef with these skills, but when i thought of it, it thought it would suit it better, and there nothing saying that disabling skills can't be used strategically, right?.--BobbyT 04:13, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
exhaustion sux i like this Dark Morphon 17:13, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- Then would it not be a better idea to replace exhaustion with disabling for skills that do not see any use like Obsi Flame and Maelstrom, and keep the skills that do see play the same? Koda Kumi 21:46, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- obsidian flame is awesome noob!! darkmorphon396 11:19, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- No. Also, gimping = limiting you. Exhaustion is fine where it is. Also, they're elementalist spells for a reason. Other professions aren't meant to use them. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 21:43, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I disagree with this suggestion. The skills that currently use exhaustion are devastating. Mind burn does 200 damage over time. Mind Shock the elite is gale + 100 damage. Earthquakes do LARGE AoE KDS! Exhaustion simply limits these skills to elementalists and it should stay that way. The last thing we need is fast cast/ earth/ inspiration mesmers chucking earthquakes + dragon stomp on recharge. Or arcane echo + mind shock/gale. Exhaustion is currently quite alright if an elementalist only has one exhaustion skill. You won't even notice it if it's a medium recharge skill. Greep 00:07, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
Differnt Amounts of Exhaustion[edit]
Hmn different amounts sounds better to me... for Example "Mind Burn" could have 5 points of exhaustion that means 5% of the Manabar is gone trough exhaustion. "Meteor Shower" maybe got an amount of 7 points exhaustion, so one skill reduce the energy-bar about 7%. Gale and Shock just 3 Points of Exhaustion (3% of Bar). In this case Channeling Ritualists, maybe "Illusion of Pain" Mesmers etc. could get also exhaust as it was tested in the past (only on Ritualists). Maybe Monks or Elementalists got a new spell to reduce the effect of exhaustion too... also "Equinox" is finally useful in this case. --Kali Shin Shivara 19:01, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
