Assuming this would place a link into chat that a player can then choose to click on or not click on to open up the item view (similar to how build templates can be sent to chat as a link in GW1), then I see this having some utility.

For the auction house they are supposedly implementing for GW2, I would like to see this used there as well per the OP's suggestion. But again, as an option rather than forced to view the item. What I would want is lists of items for sale broken up by category (wands, swords, shields, etc.). The items are listed as a text description. Clicking on the text description then opens a new window which displays the item. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 19:23, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
