While I agree that more energy management for Necromancers is redundant, you lost me with your suggestion. You don't like that it functions as Energy return but don't deviate from this effect in your suggestion? What? Bathory talk 06:17, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm saying that if you want to make it a replacement for soul reaping, it needs to be a lot better. I was also saying a fundamental rework would be acceptable although I wasn't going to suggest what it should be turned into, since it can be potentially turned into anything. --Ckal Ktak 08:31, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- Right now the skill seems fine to me but that is probably because I use it on a searing flames ele and not a necro.Wretched90 05:51, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- Soul Reaping is infinite energy. Pretty hard to replace that. NuVII 18:02, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

- Having 0-3 ranks in it and having a necro split over two other ranks instead, and relying on this skill. That would be what I call replacing SR. --Ckal Ktak 19:03, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- And do what? Discord? Doesn't need the spread. MM? Doesn't need it/can't function without SR. FoC/Curses? Possible, but there are better things to do with your time. Blood/curses hex bar? In my Pve? Soul reaping is pretty solid, and I don't see necros replacing on of their precious pve skill slots for a semi-effective alternative.
- Also, you may want to consider its implications on secondary profs. Infinite energy + Monks/elementalists = bad. NuVII 19:12, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

- You're doing a bit of a tautology with that since most of those builds are defined by the fact that you can only heavily spec into SR and one other attribute. with a load of points to go elsewhere you may see some rather more diverse and fun builds. Eles and monks already have infinite energy in PvE, so I don't see what the problem is there. The only other place I see some abuse is mesmers, but in PvE they need some help. But in case you want to stick to the other idea of reworking the skill, what would you go with? --Ckal Ktak 21:22, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- Lengthen hexes by a fixed amount. Counter to natural resistance. NuVII 10:42, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Good answer, I like it. --Ckal Ktak 15:15, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Anguished Was Lingwah + Signet of Corruption. --Falconeye 08:03, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
0 1 20 - (Allegiance rank) - Signet. Deals 20...28...30 damage to target and nearby foes. Your Necromancer hexes cost 5 less energy and last 33% longer (45...57...60 seconds). You gain 2 Energy (maximum 12...18...20) for each of these foes with a condition or hex.
