That's a good idea. Or make a separate PvP survivor title. Previously Unsigned 08:42, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. Not sure about a PvP survivor title tho - not sure I'd like to be playing PvP with players desperately trying not to die regardless of the PvP objectives ;-) --Combatter 00:25, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
- It'd be like any of max pvp title: they'd all be in it to not die! And anybody with the title you know is pro. Previously Unsigned 04:11, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm all for making pvp deaths not count against survivor, but xp needs to stay in for removing DP. I don't think that's really an issue, though. No one's going to get enough xp from pvp for it to make a difference.--Atanna Charta 05:15, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- This is largely unnecessary. Rather than trying to earn experience over time, complete 20 copies of Young Heroes of Tyria at your leisure and turn them in all at once. Kaboom, 1.35 megaXP, and no bullshit hassle about having to stay alive. –Jette 04:19, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Pursuing titles is a choice[edit]
Pursuing titles is a choice: the player trades off doing whatever they please against grinding towards a specific goal. For example, those that choose to pursue the drunkard title are losing the opportunity to spend their wealth on something more useful (Superior Runes) or on something equally cosmetic, but more visible (elite armor, Black Dye). Those that want the survivor title have to give up something...and only temporarily.
The Survivor article has tons of methods for risk-free acquisition, which boil down to save all your quests, save all your books, and sit down for a concentrated session or two of title pursuit. If you wait until double-XP elite capture weekend and use XP scrolls, you can easily get over half your XP by pursuing skill hunter at the same time. Also getting you half way are 5 hours of Cantha Courier Crisis or 5 NM runs of Fissure of Woe and the rest can be made up through books (speedbooking or not) and hoarded quest rewards.
In other words, if you choose to pursue this title, you shouldn't have to give up playing PvP with that character for very long. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:24, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
