Feedback talk:User/Dan Dan Teddy Bearz/Even number of hero professions, please.
All professions equal in representation is all I ask.
- We going to get 1 more hero, after wedding quest. Yes it is less than 4, but more than nothing. Ladislau
- Oh, is that so? I'll have to read up on it. Perhaps they'll make a habit of this until we get those four. Thank you for the info. Teddy Dan, yo. 15:15, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
They gave us... a paragon. FU too, Anet. Don't disappoint me, again. -.-
- I'm confused, didn't you ask for another paragon hero? Here's another paragon hero, what's the problem now? - HeWhoIsPale 21:02, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
I did not ask for a paragon. I asked for those heroes who only have one profession peer to be on equal terms with those who have two. The fact that Anet decided to give us only one (so far) and it being a paragon is what disappoints me. Noted, the paragon profession was included in the short list of professions with only two heroes. The fact of the matter remains that, of the four professions, they chose the least useful. Now, some would argue that's a matter of opinion. Some would provide statistics to prove them wrong. Yet others simply know and would find the whole argument a ridiculous attempt at trolling. Point: Be more specific when you offer suggestions, because Anet has a habit of hinting at giving you what you want and suddenly pulling back the curtain to reveal a middle finger.Teddy Dan, yo. 10:08, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- You guys are seriously underestimating the paragon, also it isn't the most useless, that honor goes to the assassin. Damysticreaper 16:24, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sins are far more useful than paras, especially as critbows and critscythes. Critbows with Disrupting Accuracy and Broad Head Arrow provide excellent interruption. Critscythes provide good crowd control with such skills as Radiant Scythe and the effective Wounding Strike+Malicious Strike combination. Because of their primary attribute, sins are quite flexible. Paras, on the other hand, offer little more than fleeting party buffs that any decent protection monk or weapon rit could dance around. The only good paragon hero is a party runner.

- we will get another Sin hero Miku coming Winds of Change, and i hope there will be a Rit hero as well to even things out. I want a 3rd Mesmer and I want it to be Ghost of Althea, Im sure that she has alot of story to tell. and its cool to have a ghostly hero runing around with you -Sef326 02:33, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- That would be awesome actually! - Lucian Shadowborn 03:32, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- I wouldn't mind so much allowing Althea a second chance at "life", though she was a bit of a b**** concerning the bestial companions of others (see A Mesmer's Burden). Unfortunately, I don't see her return as a likely possibility. I do truly hope we're awarded a third Ritualist hero, as I'm rather fond of them. If we do receive one, it will likely be in Nightfall's GWB, which will leave us missing a Mesmer. Though, honestly, I could live without another Mesmer until they fix what they broke (Fast Casting). Thackeray started out as a Ranger and became a Paragon. We'll have to wait and see what becomes of Miku. Teddy Dan, yo. 07:43, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- We still have the establishment of Ebonhawke where there is a possibility of receiving a hero as well as the foefire event and if anet does it right Altea as betrothed of Rurik could play some form of a role in it since only Rurik's sword can undo the effect of foefire. Making up a story where there ghost of altea want to help the players trying to find the method of undoing foefire or finding sohothin could be a viable option for introducing her as a mesmer hero. - I see where you're going with it. I would find it amusing if a potential Althea becomes a Ritualist, but we do already have a spirit-binding spirit in Razah. As for a ghostly Mesmer... I fail to see the irony. A Ranger becoming a Paragon is ironic due to a Ranger's (by typical lore of the Ranger persona throughout the fantasy genre) stereotypical loner nature becoming the complete opposite (a Paragon). To point out the obvious, I did truly enjoy the irony in that, even if I'm not quite pleased with the result of that irony. I'd like to see more of that very irony in future potential heroes. A similarly solitary Assassin eventually giving in to the hardships of said solitude, giving them "life" in the form of (Ritualist) spirits. A previously alluring Mesmer being forced into the (Assassin's) shadows. A spirit (of Ritualist profession due to its incorporeal environment) granted life anew to become the Mesmer she once was (enter Althea). I'm sure Anet won't use any of these ideas, because they're actually good, but one can hope. (This is where ArenaNet makes me look stupid by proving me wrong.)
