I am all for neat weather effects in Guild Wars 2. However, those would have to be area specific and not based on real world weather, because everyone plays in different locations. Even if this were possible, you are not playing in the real world, but in a fantasy one, so I think a live weather system would not be necessary. Whether it is raining here or not does not effect Tyria's weather and should not, in my opinion. FloppyJoe 22:18, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Ya the real world weather part was a bad idea, but an idea none the less. --Dominator Matrix 23:06, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- I love the idea for weather, but make different variations of weather. For instance, one day it can be extremely warm and dry, causing plants to go brown and maybe even die. The next day there could be a horrible storm, so you cant see more than 20 meters in-front of your character. After the rain all the ground will be muddy and plants will grow again. This will give some depth and variety to the game. Flaming Hot Chilli 05:48, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- That would be nice but you would need at least a DX10 GPU to support all that. --Dominator Matrix 00:51, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
- Then make a setting to turn it off...problem solved. Nay the One and Only 21:14, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
