Though they've done a good job with making the low res zoomed out textures decent, they are quite different. My current graphics card barely peeps, let alone sweats on GW, which is a shame for a game with such beautiful scenery and artwork all around (except maybe the Plagueborn Shield, that things ugly). So that's a yes. --Axis 02:08, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- That's exactly my thought, my card could run like 6 GW without issue, and I'd love to see everything looking better. ~FarloTalk 02:26, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sure the five member Live Team will be able to pull this off in no time.....--Will Greyhawk 22:37, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- These are suggestions by the way... It's not like I'm demanding anything be done. If you don't have anything constructive to say, why bother? ~FarloTalk 23:36, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- If it's a matter of recycling artwork and extending, I'm not sure I see it being more than five people can handle. I seem to recall that it used to be when you zoomed out, the artwork remained the same (as far as armor goes), but I do remember the black box in the Mesmer Obsidian armor always being there, so I'm not entirely sure. Perhaps my computer upgrades have just allowed me to see the difference. Or perhaps the quality of the zoomed in versions have increased. --Axis 00:01, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- My skill icons mod is nearing completion, I only need a few more from ANet (I'm making threatening e-mails and long voice messages of breathing through a tissue) for a release. There's not much point in getting them to do it. As for the long-distance thing, the game engine is already fully capable of doing this; it happens whenever you take a screenshot: the game renders everything at the highest settings for a split second. I'm no 3d genius, but I suspect forcing it to behave this way at all times and adding a checkbox to enable that behavior wouldn't be too difficult. A sliding scale would be a fuckload of a lot more work, though. –Jette 00:13, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
