I completely agree that at least some of the exhaustion from skills should be removed or a least lessened. Cuilan 12:06, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- There are only 14 skills that always deal exhaustion, 2 conditional (if not Enchanted), it bring exhaustion nearly completely out of the game. --Kali Shin Shivara 19:24, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- Well, here's my way of thinking: Of those 12 Exhaustion causing skills (not counting the 2 conditional), how many are non-elite, and how many deal any kind of damage? I can understand Exhaustion from a skill like Meteor Shower. It is a costly skill with a nice AoE effect, good damage, and support condition (in this case, knockdown). However, the Mind skills have low energy costs, quick recharges, no AoE, and have conditional bonuses that can easily be achieved without Exhaustion (Mind Shock is an exception to this, in a way).
- If there was a way to prevent Exhaustion without eating up your elite, or if there was a way to manage exhaustion by making it dissipate faster or removing chunks of it, then these elites would be just fine causing exhaustion. But those options don't exist, and so I don't see any benefit for an Ele to bring any of these elites for PvE or PvP. FleshAndFaith 04:48, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
- I myself have made a suggestion (10 energy, unconditional damage and conditional exhaustion) about the 3 mind skills and i agree with it that they really need to be changed. In PvP Mind Shock still has some use but not prefered when you look at Blinding Surge. Mind Freeze sorely looses out to Icy Shackles when it comes to snaring and in terms of damage Shatterstone and Mirror of Ice are superior. And with Mind Burn i say 2 words Searing Flames. Fire magic is filled with AoE damage and Mind Burn being a elite that causes exhaustion but does not have a AoE effect and it's aditional damage and burning is conditional as well it is seriously underpowered. Same goes with the other 2, a unconditional exhaustion for a non-AoE elite skill is a horrible thing to have. Looking at the power of the Elites who came with Factions and Nightfall i am amazed Anet has left them unchanged in their underpowered state even now.Damysticreaper
