- To be honest, this would devalue their abilities as a secondary profession and their ability to have a secondary profession. Making many of their skills only work for scythes or dervish enchantments pretty much means you'll only use mono-dervish bars. Also, Heart of Fury should not be moved, simply because nobody should have a reliable IAS in their weapon attribute. Good concept with the avatar skills, but their strength is mostly in the immunity to hexes or conditions (and being entirely unstrippable + lasting for a long time). Your suggestions to these make interrupting (the only counter) difficult and mostly useless. But yes, there simply aren't enough good dervish skills, partially due to being shafted skill-wise, being the last campaign. -~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) 01:09, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Actually most of the scythe/dervhish enchants were in mysticism, and do not affect dervish secondaries. It is mainly to prevent dervs with bows, daggers, or hammers and other such garbage that make the class hard to balance. Dervish secondaries are mainly for earth and wind, and the changes I made to wind are on skills secondaries don't use much anyways. It's all about abuse prevention. The avatars are the way they are because no elite is used in pvp that can be shut down easily. Healer's boon e.g. is used because it can be reapplied easily and quickly. Master of magic is incredibly powerful but never used because stripping it makes that character literally dead for 10 seconds. Same with the avatars: they are an elite, and the only way they'll see action is making them activate more like healer's boon and the other passive action elites. As for dervs not benefiting much from a secondary, that's true. Warriors and ranger don't benefit much, but they can use stuff like conjures, or mending touch. Martials have just always been mostly to their profession. Dervs nowadays usually don't even use their secondary at all anyways, so it's not a big change. I think you're right about heart of fury, but having it mysticism based just screws over dervs. Warriors get their IAS normal as a non-linked (frenzy) and effective at less than 5 primary (flail). Dervs should be able to have something similar. You wouldn't want all warriors to be forced into 12 weapon 12 strength would you? I suppose I could try to make a version that is good at low ( <= 9) mysticism instead.
- I should also note that IAS and IAM are less insane for dervs because of their lack of good spike even with these changes. Compare onslaught to primal rage, and notice how people use primal rage but not onslaught, despite onslaught being insanely more efficient and allowing for a stance. (Actually... going derv secondary for onslaught doesn't sound like a bad idea to me XD)Greep 06:37, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Why is everyone trying to kill Mystic Healing? A cap of 3 on the number of party members healed is just plain dumb. Nechrond 10:11, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

I hope this wasn't the inspiration for the dervish rework :([edit]
Why is it whenever I suggest things to get implemented they end up completely exaggerated and imbalanced. Now everything's triple dervish. I should just throw out random numbers in suggestions since clearly only the idea is being used these days, not the actual complete suggestion. Greep 02:01, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
