I think this is a brilliant idea and I was just about to post something similar to this. Player/Guild owned cities would be amazing.
- Not the first time someone has made this suggestion, and its not going to be the last. While it sounds like a good idea (and to a degree, it honestly does), you gotta ask yourself, where is this stuff going to go? The in-game map is finite; there is only going to be some much land. We have been told that players get a "home instance" where they'd live, and I'd imagine there would be some degree of customization to it, I don't see entire castles or towns being possible to build. I can't even imagine what a nightmare that could be for the developers. As for your second suggestion, well, it sounds a little bit like instancing from GW1, but not really at all. If that WAS what your going for, it'll need to be re-worded. If its not, well, for one thing there isn't going to be enough servers for each of the player in the GW2 community. It also would turn the game into a single player like Oblivion, which is just not what GW2 is meant to be. Its an MMO, a game for people to play together. If you don't like that idea...well, maybe you should find a different game.--Will Greyhawk 00:39, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- Will his second suggestion is actually that the a server not allow accounts to have more than one character in that server, I found what he meant relatively clear, but it actually sounds like a good idea, if unlikely to be actually implementedIndigo121 22:38, 16 March 2011 (UTC).
- It is exactly how i meant it. I mean there can be at least one server which doesn't allow multiple character creation. So that not everyone can craft every craftable item, or wanna come to raid with an "alt char" because he doesn't need loot from that dungeon etc, and lastly playing a pure crafter doesn't make sense if people can create multiple characters.
