Feedback talk:User/Kyx/Broad Head arrow balance
If you are going to split it why don't you buff the PvE version. For PvE Technobabble is the skill prefered to inflict dazed wich makes BHA often a redundant elite in PvE. Da Mystic Reaper 15:40, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- "Interruption effect:" is what you want. --Falconeye 19:26, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
10 10 Elite Bow Attack. Deals +5...25...30 damage. Slow moving arrow. Interrupts a spell. Interruption effect: Inflicts Dazed condition (5...17...20 seconds) to target and adjacent foes.
- Broad Head Arrow (PvP):
15 15 Elite Bow Attack. Slow moving arrow. Interrupts a spell. Interruption effect: Inflicts Dazed condition (0...12...15 seconds).
- BHA it's only one of the many useless elites in PvE, but no one really cares about that, mainly because powerful skills like technobabble exist. The problem lays in RA, because with a team composed of only 4 people, this skill is overpowered against casters, specifically monks. Any noob can just run in front of a monk, use this skill, and then just spam lower recharge dagger attacks to prevent any remove conditions or healing attempt; and since in RA teams are formed (for the majority of times) randomly, any non-monk teammate who can support and/or remove conditions is rare. This often results in inevitable death for the monk, and that's why the dazed effect *must* be conditional, so it will require some ability to apply it. And the duration also must be shortened, so constant daze effect would not be possible anymore. This it's already happened to overpowered skills, like Migraine. To answer your question, yes BHA should be buffed, like many elites, but, as i said before, this is not a great issue in PvE, it's in RA where this skill shows it's gimmick nature, and for this reason for now i'll concentrate on a possible PvP split. --Kyx 20:34, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Well i never really cared for PvP places such as HA, GvG and RA due to the arrogant attitude PvPers generaly have, acting as if they are the superior players of the game and that PvP is GW (while only 20% of the players are PvPers). Well if you want it fixed as suggested per above turn it into an interrupt effect but without the slow movement. However be sure to balance it out properly to Concussion Shot. - Concussion shot it's alreday "balanced", since it costs a lot of energy(25), and it's conditional; i think that slow movement should remain, but if a developer will (luckly) take a look at my suggestion he'll certainly change something; this suggestion purpose is to let the developer know of the issue with this skill. --Kyx 21:07, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- They usually act like that because they are the superior players, experiencing more challenging content and seeing more of the game's skills in action instead of relying on shitty AI exploits and ridiculously broken skills to carry them through mindlessly easy content.
- BHA is fine. You can counter it by sidestepping. It's already elite and has a 3 year cooldown, you want to add the requirement to interrupt a skill with a slow moving arrow because... why, exactly? You're too lazy to dodge? -Auron 23:30, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- As I sad before, this suggestion's purpose is to let anet know of this *problem*, the slow moving thing can be removed; my biggest complain is that this skill requires no ability whatsoever to be efficently used.

And, how exactly i would be able to dodge, if someone runs with a speed boost right in my face? My only hope would be block, since it's impossible to kite. And, by the way, this elite never got touched because in past years there were better skills, but meta shifts, and only now this skill has become somewhat popular. --Kyx 01:09, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
