would'nt it be better to just not have potions, all chars have a slot for healing so whats the point of potions?--60.228.191.48 03:45, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- This is a suggestion for the Energy Potions, not Health Potions. Energy can't be healed in GW2, as far as we know. Besides, this is also a suggestion for the Energy potions they are using now in case they don't find a replacement. Morcotulcon 12:00, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- I always figured that Energy would work the same way it does in GWI... It gradually refills when you don't use skills... Dash-X 23:16, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

There will be potions for energy/mana/whathaveyou, but apparently it will recharge quite slowly in combat (slow enough that you can basically only use one in a fight). This allows people to realize that they've spent all their energy, use a potion to give back a bit, and budget their remaining spells. Having played WoW where potions only recharge out of combat, this system works quite well and potions are not a major part of combat in that game. I think that many professions (if not all) will have at least one ability to get back some energy (such as a channeled ability, or a stance that lowers combat effectiveness for energy) as well. I have never played GW1, but in other games potions do not seem to be a big problem.
