Custom armor leads to imbalance. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 07:08, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Not unless the customization options were balanced to begin with. I admit I'm curious as to what will be craftable in GW2, but being able to make my own armor and weapons, IMHO, is not believably lifelike. The Blacksmith's trade and others like it are all trades that take years of dedication to effectively learn and maintain. Are all of guild war's players supposed to be tradesmen first, and adventurers second? Its not too believable. WoW had a little better solution, where a player couldn't be everything, like you can in Runescape, but the fact remains that they not only can become masters of a trade, but also a kick-ass fighter. Such dedications would be very difficult to balance for a real person, if not impossible. That is why the crafter idea fit well in the game in my eyes, that was that NPC's life dedication. Sure making yourself would be convenient, but call me a classic player, I seek realism within my fantasies to make them closer to the real world. Only more info on the crafting section of GW2 will truly reveal if I'd support this.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:32, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
I see your point, just I started having random thoughts when I was writting this. but I see your point with the crafting aspect. but the Idea is still the same, if you have the templer armor,, should it be better then the gladiator, but you be slower then it? and the means of having of making it more personalized (more then color, you can play with the design a litle) add more to the difference between people?
